One ...I was conducting interviews a few months ago. One of the potential recruits was a 17 year old who had spent his teenage years in a series of children’s homes and with numerous foster parents. In the interview he was talking about society’s perception of him as he did not have a ‘normal’ upbringing, and that he is judged unfairly. I asked him how this problem could be addressed. His answer, “move to the USA.” He then proceeded to tell me that in any European country he would always be judged on his childhood, school, college etc. His image of America is that he would be treated as an equal; where you can be want you want to be. <BR/><BR/>Where else can an Austrian tank driver, who spoke no English, and wasn’t that good an actor, rise to such prominence in society.
