Its Halloween and the Dems are Spooked!

It’s Halloween…. And the Dems are Spooked!

It’s going down to the wire and the pundits, and MSM, tell us it could go either way. The tidal wave, the Democrats have been riding, has begun to break up as it strikes the Republican fortifications on the beaches.

I often visit “offshore” news sources to get a better look at what is happening, or not happening, as the case may be, in this country. I found this interesting article at “The Times Online”. Its entitled: “Democrats fear the storm could leave them high and dry” by Tom Baldwin.

You’ll find it here:

Another worry for the American electorate is the fact that this may be the most contested election in history. It may be weeks, or even months before the outcome of some Senate and House races are known.

The manner in which elections are handled in the US is left, almost entirely, up to the 50 states. As a result there is a hodge podge, a mish-mash, of balloting procedures. Some states use paper ballots, while others use electronic voting machines. Others use a combination, while others use the old punch card method. All have room for errors and with an election as close as the “experts’ say this one is, you can believe that each side sill be looking for even the slightest inconsistency in order to cry foul.

The slugfest continues, as the deadline grows closer. With only a week left, to make or break a campaign, the fight resembles, for all the world, a couple of roosters fighting. One’s scared… and the other is glad of it!
