The Story That Won't Go Away

The Story That Won’t Go Away.

A prominent Pennsylvania Democrat and attorney, Philip J. Berg, filed a suit in U.S. District Court two months ago claiming Obama is not a natural-born U.S. citizen and therefore not eligible to be a candidate for the office of President of the United States.

Berg says he is 99.99% sure the birth certificate produced by the Obama campaign is a fake and he wants it validated by a court. (After examining the actual document the Annenberg Public Policy Center concluded it is authentic and the state of Hawaii has also affirmed its validity.)

We have touched on this a while back, but, honestly, we just had a problem with anyone being less than candid about something this important, so we shelved it in the “Nah… not likely” file. Well, it simply won’t go away.

Last week the Obama campaign, and the Democrat National Committee, filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit by Berg. Berg is angry. As a democrat himself, he reportedly is upset and believes his party has ignored his requests for proof and is supporting Obama rather that one of their constituents.

World Net Daily has a story on this that is a “must read”. You’ll find it at:

http://www.worldnetdaily.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=76933

On the other hand, Obama’s campaign has links on their website at:
http://fightthesmears.com/articles/5/birthcertificate that claims his citizenship is the real thing. They even have an image of a birth certificate, which shows Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on August 4th, 1961. Berg says that if Obama will present certified copies of the birth certificate he’ll drop his lawsuit.

The US Constitution demands that a candidate for President of the US be a natural born citizen of the US. It does not, however, demand that proof of natural born citizenship, proof of the candidate’s qualifications, be made publicly available.

Berg is reported to have said that he is prepared to take the lawsuit all the way to the Supreme Court, if necessary.

Now, the thing that bothers me about all this is… why even the slightest delay in presenting proof? Why drag your feet on an issue like this. It is so simple just to present the proof and put it to rest? Take the evidence to court... and be done with it.

Just for a moment consider this: Suppose Obama really isn’t legally qualified to be President of the US but he wins next month and is sworn in in January. A few weeks, or months, later it is found that he is, in fact, not legally qualified. Do you think we’d have a Constitutional Crisis in this country? As Mrs. Palin would say: “You betcha”!

And the campaign continues.

I ask, again… ain’t politics grand?

First off this is all crap, and second off so what all that means is Joe Biden will take over, or the speaker of the house can appoint a Democrat to be president. After all and unnamed democrat is 20 points ahead of any republican.....
In order to be a president (Vice Presidents have to be eligible to be president) You must have an I.Q. above 70 (not retarded) and Palin is lacking in that department, plus the whole wanting to secede thing makes her very un-American and her "religious beliefs" if that qualifies as a religion makes her nuts.

That's right, golly gee, it sure does.....
Now let me defer back to my energy plan.......
Ah shucks.....
