Back in December of 2006 I wrote the following:

Well, the MSM (Mainstream Media) has found their new toy, their new “raison de’tat”. They have found the man they want to be President and they are promoting this guy way past whatever once would have been thought of as ‘reason”!

Flush with success from their four year long propaganda crusade against the United States, and it’s military in Iraq, it appears they have decided to install their own President of the United States!

Whoa! Wait a minute! Whatever happened to Mrs. Bill Clinton??? Huh???



Well, the simple truth is Mrs. Clinton did not fit the mold, or template, as some refer to it, of anti-war. She made the unforgivable mistake of supporting the War in Iraq. The MsM dropped her as they would have dropped a hot potato. Mrs. Clinton is on her own! The MSM now has their blank slate, in Obama, and they intend to write the story of Obama in such a way as to sell this “Leftist” to the American people.

Can the MsM actually succeed in their attempt to seat their very own President? Without hesitation, I’d have to say… “Yes, they can”!

How can this be? Well, the field has been left to the (no pun intended) Leftists as the great bulk of the Conservatives, in the US, are trying to decide if: one… the country is too far gone to save… and two, whether it is WORTH saving, anymore.



There are times when one must ask, in the case of a terminally ill person, if that person is better off being allowed to die and escape the pain, or, to continue heroic efforts to save the person, only to have that person die, anyway. That is where many conservatives see the US at the moment, dying, and themselves as the caregiver questioning whether it is worth it, or not. Many have simply stepped back and said: “Enough! No more”!

America seems bent on self destruction and the quickest way for America to self- destruct is for conservatives to stand back, get out of the way, pull their finger from the dike, and allow the swirling tides of socialism to engulf the country.

Those of you who do not believe a “blank slate” candidate can be elected President; I suggest you view the old movie “The Candidate”. Replace Robert Redford with Barack Obama and you have the how, and the way, spelled out for you… right there on the screen!

Well, today the democrats will got to the polls in state primaries in Texas and Ohio. If it goes as expected, Obama wins Texas and Hillary wins Ohio. The game will be all but over for Hillary... and the Mainstream Media, as we predicted back in 2006, will have been successful in selling their candidate to a pathetically ignorant bunch of American voters.

In advertising packaging is everything. The more ribbons and bows and bright colors you use to package a product, the more appealing it is to Americans. Much as the early aboriginals were attracted to colorful, but useless, beads, the American public responded to the media’s packaging of a political candidate who offers nothing and doesn’t even make a pretense of offering anything. Nobody, I daresay, not even the candidate himself, has any idea what he will do if elected to the Oval Office. Don’t kid yourself; if Obama wins the democratic nomination, he WILL be the next President of the United States. Forget the brave sounds coming from the GOP. They KNOW John McCain will not be President of the United States. Most conservative republicans are planning to write in the name of someone, skip over the presidential portion of the ballot, or just stay home.

If there is a bright side to this election for America, it is the possibility that American politics may be rid of the Clintons… at least for a while.

The 2008 International Conference on Climate Change is wrapping up in New York today. The event is notable by the absence of Mainstream Media coverage. That, of course, is not surprising. This conference was to deal with TRUTH and raise some much needed questions about what many believe is the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on mankind… Global Warming.

John Coleman, the guy who founded the Weather Channel proposed, yesterday, suing those who sell “carbon credits”. Apparently he feels once in a court of law the hoax of Global Warming can be laid bare and put behind us.

The Weather Channel is no longer welcome in my home. After they adopted the Global Warming credo we turned them off.

So, what to do? Not much, really. As long as people want to be fooled, and relieved of their hard earned cash, con men will happily oblige. When one looks over the peoples of the globe today its as if each person has a paper sign stuck to his, or her, back saying “Con Me!” … And boy, are they being conned!

Richard Nixon embarrassed the Republican Party and individual republicans for nearly a generation. Nobody seems to remember that it was a delegation of Republicans going to Nixon and demanding he resign or be impeached. Enough was enough! The GOP had had its fill and Nixon was out.

You’d think our friends on the left side of the aisle would have leaned something from that, but apparently they have not. They are preparing to place in office their own version of Nixon… this one in a pants suit!

The Ice Queen, Hillary Clinton, is a disaster just waiting to happen.

OK, take a look at some of Hillary’s … uh… “Adventures”:

- As First Lady, Hillary assumed authority over Health Care Reform, a process that cost the taxpayers over $13 million. She told both Bill Bradley and Pat Moynahan, key votes were needed to pass her legislation, that she would "demonize "anyone who opposed it. But it was opposed; she couldn't even get it to a vote in a Congress controlled by her own party. (And in the next election, her party lost control of both the House and Senate.)





- Hillary assumed authority over selecting a female Attorney General. Her first two recommendations (Zoe Baird and Kimba Wood) were forced to withdraw their names from consideration, and then she chose Janet Reno. Janet Reno has since been described by Bill himself as "my worst mistake."





- Hillary recommended Lani Guanier for head of the Civil Rights Commission. When Guanier's radical views became known, her name had to be withdrawn.





- Hillary recommended her former law partners, Web Hubbell, Vince Foster, and William Kennedy for positions in the Justice Department, White House staff, and the Treasury, respectively. Hubbell was later imprisoned, Foster committed suicide, and Kennedy was forced to resign.





- Hillary also recommended a close friend of the Clintons, Craig Livingstone, for the position of director of White House security. When Livingstone was investigated for the improper access of up to 900 FBI files of Clinton enemies (Filegate) and the widespread use of drugs by White House staff, both Hillary and her husband denied knowing him. (FBI agent Dennis Sculimbrene confirmed in a Senate Judiciary Committee in 1996 both the drug use and Hillary's involvement in hiring Livingstone.
After that, the FBI closed its White House Liaison Office, after serving seven presidents for over thirty years.)





- In order to open "slots" in the White House for her friends Hillary had the entire staff of the White House Travel Office fired; they were reported to the FBI for "gross mismanagement" and their reputations ruined. After a thirty-month investigation, only one, Billy Dale, was charged with a crime - mixing personal money with White House funds when he cashed checks. The jury acquitted him in less than two hours.





- Another of Hillary's assumed duties was directing the "bimbo eruption squad" and scandal defense:


---- She urged her husband not to settle the Paula Jones lawsuit.


---- She refused to release the Whitewater documents, which led to the appointment of Ken Starr as Special Prosecutor. After $80 million dollars of taxpayer money was spent, Starr's investigation led to Monica Lewinsky, which led to Bill lying about and later admitting his affairs.


---- Then they had to settle with Paula Jones after all.


---- And Bill lost his law license for lying to the grand jury.


---- And Bill was impeached by the House.


---- And Hillary almost got herself indicted for perjury and obstruction of justice (she avoided it mostly because she repeated, "I do not recall," "I have no recollection," and "I don't know" 56 times under oath).





- Hillary accepted the traditional First Lady's role of decorator of the White House at Christmas, but in a unique Hillary way. In 1994, for example, The First Lady's Tree in the Blue Room (the focal point each year) was decorated with drug paraphernalia, sex toys, and pornographic ornaments, all personally approved by Hillary as the invited artists' depictions of the theme, "The Twelve Days of Christmas."





- Hillary wrote "It Takes a Village," demonstrating her Socialist viewpoint.





- Hillary decided to seek election to the Senate in a state she had never lived in. Her husband pardoned FALN terrorists in order to get Latino support and the New Square Hassidim to get Jewish support. Hillary also had Bill pardon her brother's clients, for a small fee, to get financial support.





- Then Hillary left the White House, but later had to return $200,000 in White House furniture, china, and artwork.





- In the campaign for the Senate, Hillary played the "woman card" by portraying her opponent (Lazio) as a bully picking on her.





- Hillary's husband further protected her by asking the National Archives to withhold from the public until 2012 many records of their time in the White House, including much of Hillary's correspondence and her calendars. (There are ongoing lawsuits to force the release of those records.)





- As the junior Senator from New York, Hillary has passed no major legislation. She has deferred to the senior Senator (Schumer) to tend to the needs of New Yorkers, even on the hot issue of medical problems of workers involved in the cleanup of Ground Zero after 9/11.





- Hillary's one notable vote, supporting the plan to invade Iraq, she has since disavowed.

Quite a resume, isn't it? Think: Juan and Evita Peron of Argentina!



Conservatives were called upon to take the trash out of the White House some 12 years ago. If it is taken out again, it will be by conservatives, but not conservatives in the Republican Party. The GOP has become virtually indistinguishable from the Democrat Party… and that is a damned shame!

There is absolutely no national interest for the United States in Darfur. None! Therefore there is absolutely no reason to insert ourselves, militarily, into that region and into that conflict. NONE!

Look, what they have there is essentially a war between some Arab (Muslim) Bedouins (or nomads) and farmers. Estimates have as many as 450,000 dead as a result of the on-going conflict.

Now, here is the rub… I can’t find a root cause for the on-going conflict there! It’s as though war has become a way of life and the attendant suffering, humiliation, starvation, and deprivation is, well, a part of that way of life.

What really beats me though is… some of the Democrats in Congress want to pull our military forces out of Iraq and send them to the Sudan, to Darfur, to be exact. For what??? We can do absolutely nothing there to stop the war. We can, of course, escalate the killing of the native peoples there, but little else. We certainly cannot bring a lasting peace there.

We should commit troops when the national interests of the US are involved. The Darfur mess, and it is a mess, is not one of those situations.

The US cannot save Africa. The UN cannot save Africa. The EU cannot save Africa. Only Africa can save Africa. But, looking at Africa objectively, one would have to admit that it is going to get a whole lot worse in Africa before it gets ANY better.

Remember our last foray into Africa to save Africans? Somalia. The “Back Hawk Down” incident cost the lives of 18 elite US troops… and at least 2,000 Somalia’s… in one firefight!

The point is that if US troops are committed to Darfur, and once the first shot is fired, there will be a bloodbath. The Sudanese will be slaughtered. The left leaning, liberal world press, including our own MSM will take great delight in showing TV video, all over the world, of white American soldiers slaughtering black Sudanese.

Darfur and all of Africa should be off limits for the American military. Save, of course, for Black Ops and Special Forces operations. At least with those troops we have “plausible deniability”.

Looking back on it, maybe European colonization of Africa wasn’t so bad, after all!

Irrational Legislation

I heard from Friends of the Earth, a huge environmental organization, who one would think would favor the Lieberman-Warner Climate Security Act of 2007 being advanced by Senate Democrats. It would impose a cap-and-trade program to force reductions of so-called greenhouse gas emissions.

FOE, however, was wailing about the way “it lavishes up to $1 trillion on industries responsible for global warming and in return asks for reduction targets well below what scientists say are necessary.” This is typical of the Greens for whom enough is never enough. It also reflects their insane hatred of the very industries that underpin the nation’s economy, i.e., jobs, exports, the whole enchilada.

This legislation is unnecessary for one reason. There is no global warming and the primary greenhouse gas the Greens are forever worrying about, carbon dioxide, constitutes barely 0.038% of the earth’s atmosphere. For the mathematically challenged, that is less than half of half a percent.

Thus there is no need to reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. To do so means wrecking the economy.

Kenneth P. Green, a resident scholar at the American Enterprise Institute, recently had a commentary posted on the website of Tech Central Station titled “How Not to Address Climate Change.” You may have noticed that the Greens now routinely talk about “climate change” as opposed to “global warming.” For the record, over the past 4.5 billion years of the earth’s existence, there has not been a single day without some climate change occurring.

Green said that, “cap-and-trade schemes are fundamentally flawed, and particularly ill-suited to greenhouse gas control.” This is assuming that any real reductions could ever be achieved without returning human society to a time when horses were the primary means of transportation and the Industrial Revolution had not begun.

Even putting aside the fact the European Union has had a cap-and-trade scheme for several years during which none of the nations have ever met its reduction goal, Green correctly identifies the Lieberman-Warner Act as "an irrational policy."The Act would require U.S. per capita emissions to fall by a total of 13.8 percent over the 2000-2012 period, plus an additional 20.2 percent from 2012 to 2020, and a further 27.6 percent from 2020 to 2030. This adds up to "about 25 to 35 times greater " than all of the emissions from 1990 to 2000. This represents a “regulatory drag on economic growth” and no growth, as you might have noticed lately, means no new jobs and the likely loss of many existing ones.

Green also notes that such schemes provide “incentives to cheat.” Lastly, it would generate “a perpetual group of rent-seekers—those raking in profits in new carbon trading” that would want more and more restrictions on greenhouse gas emissions.

Finally, need it be pointed out that, aside from the fact that there is no threat of global warming (the earth is actually showing clear signs of a climate cooling trend) such a program is utterly and completely useless unless every other nation on earth also reduces its greenhouse gas emissions and that, my friend, is not going to happen.

This cap-and-trade scheme involving the sale and purchase of “carbon credits” is so completely bogus that, like the financial meltdown resulting from the mortgage loan mess, it would surely cause one that would make the nation’s current financial problems look like a kindergarten picnic.

It is a market based on nothing, on “carbon credits” involving any use of energy. Our entire economy, indeed everything that passes for our lifestyle and standard of living, is based on the use of energy. What better way to destroy it? “Its benefits are non-existent”, said Green.

It is a totally irrational policy. This bill is making its way through the Senate. It is not unlike the December “energy” bill that, among other things, bans the purchase and presumably the manufacture of Thomas Edison’s incandescent light bulb starting in 2012. Its ethanol mandates have driven up the cost of corn around the world and has already led Brazilian ranchers and farmers to destroy a huge section the size of Rhode Island of that nation’s rainforest for more grazing and growing acreage.We normally call such things unintended consequences, but there is nothing unintended about the Lieberman-Warner bill. Its authors and supporters know exactly what it will do. And they don't care.

Meanwhile, anyone with a wit of sense knows that humans never have and never will have the slightest “control” over the weather or the climate.

You might want to tell your senator that. Only a major wave of resistance, comparable to the way the public was able to stop the recent amnesty bill, will kill this horrid piece of legislation.
