US Should Annex Mexico

Is it time for the US to annex Mexico? You Bet!

Maybe the answer to the problem of illegals crossing the border, between Mexico and the US, is to permanently move the border…south to… say… the northern border of Guatemala and Belize?

Mexico is a strange country. Their government is in Mexico City and their people are in North Carolina…(and other states, of course). So, with this arrangement, who, exactly, is the Mexican government governing? Huh?

I’m just sorta looking for possible answers to this very serious problem.

We could send the Texas National Guard down, one weekend, to roll up Mexico and be done with it. Besides, they used to have some oil down there. Maybe we can tap into to that to offset our added expense of welfare to the remainder of the people in that country…make that “state”. Maybe we could make it a territory, like Puerto Rico? Heck, we can’t even get the Puerto Ricans to vote for Independence! Those government checks spend far too well, to give that up.

Look, we invaded, and conquered Mexico, in the 1840’s, (1846-1848) and then we invaded a few times prior to the First World War when some Mexican bandits began raiding across the border. Problem is, we gave it back every time we took it. Now they won’t stay home.

If we are going to have to support the country anyway, why not just take it in payment for services rendered?

The lefties won’t allow us to put up a fence, or a wall, or even put troops on the border to stop the illegal crossings. So, we need a different solution.

My suggestion is…Annexation! Right away! Unless, of course, they would agree to stay home if we gave them California back!

A General and the Truth

A General and the Truth

Here we go again. Lt. General James Mattis is about to be persecuted by the press and political lefties because he spoke the truth. To the politically correct crowd the truth is anathema. It brings on a serious case of the “Vapors” amongst the gentler intelligentsia. The truth is dangerous. It tends to enlighten people. Thus enlightened, they become knowledgeable. Knowledge is power. Power threatens the politically correct crowd. Do you see the cycle here?

Sensitivity is everything to the practitioners of PC. After all, our enemies are not really bad. The pointy-heads continually tell us we brought 9/11 on ourselves, therefore we should capitulate to the enemy. Utter nonsense. Unmitigated B.S..

Now back to the good General. He spoke the truth. For all who have been on active duty, in the US Armed Forces, what the General said is a truism. Our troops train endlessly to kill, and maim, and destroy, our enemies in the most efficient way possible. After months and, in some cases, years of training, the emotional release resulting from actually doing what you have trained so long to do, is, well, fun. Not to mention, the bad guys are trying to kill you at the same time. The old expression: “If the enemy is within range of your guns, you are in range of his!” weighs heavily on the minds of warriors. To eliminate an immediate threat brings a rush no drug can supply. That is what the General meant.

For expressing the truth, there is a likelihood his military career is over. It is a sad day, indeed, when the truth dare not be spoken.

It reminds me of another General who lost his job as a result of something he said. General George Patton was arguably the best general the US Army had, period. A warrior. A pure warrior. Warriors are like junk yard dogs. A country keeps them chained up until the country is in danger. Then the country releases the chain and allows the dogs of war to rip and tear until the enemy is vanquished. Then, we chain them up again. Or, we persecute them for doing what WE trained them to do...fight and win wars.

We’d like the General to know some of us admire his candor. We also appreciate the job he has done for our country.

Semper fi, General Mattis.

Clinton, President of the World???

Cinton, President of the World???

Bill Clinton is well on his way to reaching his goal of becoming "President of the World!"

UN Secretary General, Kofi Annan, has named Clinton UN Special Envoy, for tsunami-affected nations. His (Clinton's) foot is now firmly planted in the door.

Clinton’s next post… that of Secretary General of the UN, or, in his mind, “President of the World!” Scary, huh? Trouble is, I think he’ll get it. One thing’s for sure, he’d fit right in with that crowd of rouges, thieves and all around brigands.

Our last Ambassador, John C. Danforth, of Missouri, resigned less than six months into his tenure. That is the shortest tenure of a US Ambassador in the history of the UN. We suspect that Danforth found his sterling character did not fit into, shall we say, the “questionable” conduct of the UN. Mr. Danforth is an Episcopal priest. He presided over the Washington services of the Reagan Funeral. He’s a good man. Too good to be affiliated with the UN.

That body has outlived its usefulness. It needs to be disbanded and done away with. We could use a world body to mediate disputes, but never again a world body modeled after the current UN. It has become corrupt, and, It has become an unwelcome guest in New York, and in America.

In the meantime, we wait, with baited breath, for Clinton to put his imprint on that supposed “world body”. If he does for the U.N., what he did for the US, it will be disbanded soon, simply by the US de-funding it. Once our money is stopped the UN will dry up. It is our money, and the blood of our soldiers, they depend upon. It is time to cut off both.

Democrat Party is still complaining.

Democrat Party is still complaining.

The Democrats continue to complain that Bush won’t announce the “exit strategy” for US forces getting out of Iraq. They overlook the obvious exit strategy: victory! Plain and simple. Of course, that is every nation’s strategy. However, if the Democrats had their way, our exit strategy would be retreat, cutting and running… slinking from the battlefield like a whipped dog with it’s tail tucked between it’s legs.

Those limp-wristed, testosterone challenged, old hacks, like Kennedy (Who, after all, has proven the depth of his courage) and Kerry (He, too, proved his courage…after he was back in the States.) would have us walk away from the mess in Iraq. Their dream is to make America look weak in the eyes of the world.

The far left wing is in charge of the National Democrat Party. The Kennedy’s, the Kerry’s, the Boxers, the Pelosis, the Reeds, the Deans, the Carters, the Clintons, ad nauseum. Free Americans everywhere thank God that FDR and Truman were the Democrats in charge during the Second World War. Had the crowd, wearing the Democrat label today, been in charge, the eastern half of this nation would be speaking German and the western half would be speaking Japanese. The lack of courage of the Democratic leadership today is absolutely breath taking. Had they been in power at the time of Pearl Harbor, they would have been apologizing to the Japanese for whatever it was that caused the Japanese to bomb us.

We must thank God that this crowd of Democrats didn’t win last November. Had they won, we’d be teaching our children to “duck and cover” again in school. The Islamists would be running rampant in New York and Washington. Our cities would resemble Fallujah.

It’s no wonder that Democrats are out of power. It’s no wonder they have secured the halls of Congress and the Whitehouse, for at least a generation, for the Conservatives. Yet, they can’t see their error. Their arrogance has blinded their eyes to their own folly.

Look, Americans, for the most part, are Conservative. No matter the political party affiliation, the vast majority of voters, in this country, are Conservative. A liberal party cannot continue to show disdain for the voters of America and expect them to go to the polls and vote for them. The philosophy of the Democrat Party is all but dead.

The voters are better informed today than at any time in the history of this country. The Democrats are woefully behind the times. Conservatives spent their time in the “political wilderness” learning how to get their message out to the people of the country. They couldn’t use the printed press for the Democrats solidly controlled it. So, they turned to the broadcast media and now... the Internet. The political bosses can no longer operate in the shadows, and behind the scenes, and not have their actions become known to the nation, indeed, to the world. Conservatives used these tools to open up those closed, smoke-filled, rooms to the public and the public does not like what it saw and, is seeing.

The Democrat Party is still alive in those states where arrogance is a hallmark. The “blue” states. The Southern states began leaving the Democrat Party in the 1960’s. The South had historically, and traditionally, been affiliated with the Democrat Party since the Civil War. No longer. The South had been taken for granted and they would not stand for that. A slow mass exodus, from the Democrat Party, began in the ‘60’s and is nearly complete now. A Presidential Candidate cannot be elected without the Southern States.

To put the cork in the bottle, the DNC is about to elect Howard Dean to lead them. Dean is the answer to the Conservative’s prayer. Next to Hillary Clinton, he’s the best man we conservatives have working for us!

‘ Way to go, DNC! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

The Global Warming Hoax... Revisted

The Global Warming Hoax… Revisited

February the Kyoto Treaty goes into effect. At least it is scheduled for that date. There are some thoughts that even though Russia officially signed on, they may renege soon.

By now, most levelheaded folks know the US could not possibly sign on to that treaty because it would have trashed our economy. Loss of jobs would have been tremendous. Industry cutbacks and shut downs would have been off the map. Business and industries re-locating across the border to Mexico, and other 3rd world countries not covered by the treaty, would be “en masse”.

When an industry leaves so do the jobs that industry provides. We saw entirely too much of that as a result of NAFTA (which I fought tooth and nail).

They promoters of the Global Warming theory are pushing their scare tactics even harder as the date for the treaty to become effective approaches. The ice packs are melting and the oceans are rising and we’re all going to drown. They hasten to mention the glaciers are melting, especially at the South Pole, but neglect to tell us the ice is thickening at the North Pole. To tell us about the North Pole would not serve their purpose, so that is left out and, it is conspicuous by its absence. Over 2000 scientists, worldwide tell us that man does not cause global warming, If, it exists at all. Even NASA satellites tell us there has been NO NET WARMING of the Planet in over 18 years. In fact there has been a slight cooling.

Look, we’ve only been here, in North America, less than 400 years. Weather records here only go back about 150 years, or so. The point is, we simply do not have enough data to make any kind of accurate prediction concerning Global Warming, period.

The other thing that worries a lot of us is the fact that a good portion of the global warming theories is based on computer models. Now, chances are very good that if you are reading this, you have a computer. If you have a computer…. well, you know how accurate they can be. If you still have doubts about the accuracy of computers… try looking up a travel route from some point “A” to some point “B”. Then… revisit the computer generated “facts” about global warming. See what I mean?

Sure, we pump about 6 to 8 billion tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere each year, but Nature, herself, pumps in around 200 billion tons over the same period. What’s wrong with that? Some experts call carbon dioxide the lifeblood of the planet. Without it, there will be no crops and no trees. No trees leads to no oxygen. No oxygen, no humans. It really is that simple.

Look, we have got to stop buying into these scare tactics from the “greenies”. We are going to be dependent on petroleum products for many decades to come. Better technology to clean the air is certainly called for. But shutting down our industrial base to satisfy some terrified “Chicken Littles” is not.
