The Global Warming Hoax... Revisted

The Global Warming Hoax… Revisited

February the Kyoto Treaty goes into effect. At least it is scheduled for that date. There are some thoughts that even though Russia officially signed on, they may renege soon.

By now, most levelheaded folks know the US could not possibly sign on to that treaty because it would have trashed our economy. Loss of jobs would have been tremendous. Industry cutbacks and shut downs would have been off the map. Business and industries re-locating across the border to Mexico, and other 3rd world countries not covered by the treaty, would be “en masse”.

When an industry leaves so do the jobs that industry provides. We saw entirely too much of that as a result of NAFTA (which I fought tooth and nail).

They promoters of the Global Warming theory are pushing their scare tactics even harder as the date for the treaty to become effective approaches. The ice packs are melting and the oceans are rising and we’re all going to drown. They hasten to mention the glaciers are melting, especially at the South Pole, but neglect to tell us the ice is thickening at the North Pole. To tell us about the North Pole would not serve their purpose, so that is left out and, it is conspicuous by its absence. Over 2000 scientists, worldwide tell us that man does not cause global warming, If, it exists at all. Even NASA satellites tell us there has been NO NET WARMING of the Planet in over 18 years. In fact there has been a slight cooling.

Look, we’ve only been here, in North America, less than 400 years. Weather records here only go back about 150 years, or so. The point is, we simply do not have enough data to make any kind of accurate prediction concerning Global Warming, period.

The other thing that worries a lot of us is the fact that a good portion of the global warming theories is based on computer models. Now, chances are very good that if you are reading this, you have a computer. If you have a computer…. well, you know how accurate they can be. If you still have doubts about the accuracy of computers… try looking up a travel route from some point “A” to some point “B”. Then… revisit the computer generated “facts” about global warming. See what I mean?

Sure, we pump about 6 to 8 billion tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere each year, but Nature, herself, pumps in around 200 billion tons over the same period. What’s wrong with that? Some experts call carbon dioxide the lifeblood of the planet. Without it, there will be no crops and no trees. No trees leads to no oxygen. No oxygen, no humans. It really is that simple.

Look, we have got to stop buying into these scare tactics from the “greenies”. We are going to be dependent on petroleum products for many decades to come. Better technology to clean the air is certainly called for. But shutting down our industrial base to satisfy some terrified “Chicken Littles” is not.

Your Obedient Servant,

“Longstreet”
