Appeasement, Retreat, Surrender, and Continued War!

One of my all time favorite politicians was Sir Winston Churchill. The whiskey drinking, cigar puffing, old codger had a scalpel sharp mind, and a tongue which was equally as sharp, and he used both to pin his political foes to the wall on many, many occasions.

As I look about me today, the current history of the world is mirroring that of 1938 and 1939. The bad guys are crowding ever closer to the borders of the free world and we all know, way down in our souls, where we live, that they mean us nothing but death and destruction. Yet like our predecessors of the 1930’s we have managed to don those rose colored glasses and, when that doesn’t work, we have taught ourselves to turn a blind eye to those who have every intention of killing us and our families. We have deluded ourselves into believing that we are not at war for our lives and that they enemy is not as bad as he appears and we just KNOW we can do business with him!

Like our predecessors, of the 1930’s, we are living a lie…a lie that will ultimately cost the lives of millions of people in the United States and additional millions around the globe.

Our British cousins thought they could talk to Hitler and charm him into letting them alone. So they sent their “best and brightest” to persuade Mr. Hitler. I will never forget Neville Chamberlain stepping from the aeroplane, at the aerodrome, and waving a white piece of paper and making the pronouncement of: “Peace in our time”!

One man saw Hitler for what he was. One man had the courage to speak out against the appeasement of Hitler. Sir Winston Churchill. Of the Chamberlain delusion he said: “He was given a choice between war and dishonor. He chose dishonor… and he will have war anyway”!

Another Churchill quote: “An appeaser is one who feeds the crocodile hoping it will eat him last”! The Islamofacist crocodile will continue its attack, even if we run away. Millions more innocent people will die because we did not have the courage and the moral clarity to see the world we live in today as it really is and not the clouded rose colored vision our leaders are pushing upon us.

“Victory will never be found by taking the line of least resistance”! Again, that was Churchill.

Fighting and winning wars is a hard thing. It is usually the most difficult thing a nation is ever called upon to do. What the Leftists from both the Democrat Party and the Republican Party, in America, are calling upon this great nation to do is… to take the path of least resistance. We are being told we must surrender for we have no chance at victory. I submit to you… we haven’t tried for victory yet. We’ve been too busy trying to appease the enemy while, at the same time, our troops are being killed for nothing!

Unleash the US Military, put in the numbers of troops needed to complete the mission (and then some), and get it done. If we must resort to nuclear weapons, then don’t hesitate. Use them.

Let’s clean the mess we have in Iraq up, acquire victory, and THEN we can bring our troops home.

In closing, I want to leave you with something to think about. The American Left, and the Leftist in the Mainstream Media, is/are forcing the US Military to resort to Nuclear Weapons to fight, and win, wars in the future. It’s something to think about, and something to look forward to in a future post.

I saw a recent report in the News Media that gun sales, and ammo sales, were up in America.

So, what’s surprising about that?

If you are a regular reader of IoF, then you know, we predicted that would happen BEFORE the 2006 elections… if… the Democrats won control of the Congress. So, it came as no surprise to us! Now… if you really want to see an increase in the sale of guns… wait until the 2008 Presidential Election and a Democrat takes office as President! Gun sales will go thru the roof!

Why?

Because most Americans instinctively know that Democrats are extremely weak on National Security... and... they know, too, that Democrats believe in a strong central government and Americans realize that arming themselves is sending a message to the federal government, that the government exists, and serves, at the pleasure of the American people!

Someone once said: “An Armed man is a free man. An unarmed man is a subject”. That is absolutely true!

The gun won America for her people and the gun keeps America free.

Over the years, as revisionists have had their way with the US Constitution, they have all but gelded our law enforcement community. As a result our law enforcement community cannot protect Americans. They can only act after an unlawful act has occurred. Americans have come to know they are on their own in so far as self-defense is concerned.

Here in NC, we have a “concealed carry law”. Interpreted… that means with a permit, one is allowed to carry a concealed weapon on his, or her, person. Prior to the Concealed Carry Law, a Tar Heel could carry a weapon openly as long as that weapon was in plain sight. I believe that law still exists today. In other words, one could carry a fully loaded handgun, in a holster, on one’s belt as long as that weapon was not covered by, say, a jacket… and the carrier was perfectly legal. A weapon could be carried openly in your vehicle… as long as it was in plain sight. One could place a loaded handgun on the passenger seat and be legal, or on the dashboard of the vehicle and be legal. The instant you covered that weapon with, say, a newspaper, you were breaking the law.

Some years ago, the General Assembly passed a law to the effect that a Tar Heel could not resist, and use deadly force, if his home was invaded, until he was backed against a wall. When several cases of a resident defending himself, and his home, with deadly force, went to court, NC juries refused to prosecute on the law and the General Assembly was forced to charge that law back to the way it was previously. If one burglarizes a home in NC … there is a better than even chance the burglar will leave that home “feet first” … on a corner’s gurney!

With attacks such as the massacre at Virginia Tech becoming even more numerous, it seems to us, it would behoove more Americans to secure a firearm and, by all means, learn ho to use it responsibly and effectively!

With the threat of terrorist attacks sure to become more numerous on American soil, when the Democrats have their way and “redeploy” the troops from Iraq, it would be a good idea to “Lock and Load”!

It is becoming even clearer, since last November that the government cannot protect you, and law enforcement cannot protect you. So, that leaves your personal safety, and the protection of your family and your home, up to you. It is an awesome responsibility. Here in the Southland it is a responsibility we have never ceded to the government, nor law enforcement.

It is an American freedom… and Americans should make sure they are up to the challenge.

I watched with “glowing anger” yesterday as mobs of illegals marched in the streets of the cities of America demanding citizenship. How the devil can they DEMAND ANYTHING??? They are in my country illegally! They are criminals! I would have cheered had US troops encircled those mobs and detained everyone there until each person could prove their citizenship. Those not able to prove they are US citizens should have been hauled off to “detainment camps”, in the deserts of our southwest, where they could make license plates, and other such menial labor, for the next 20 years!

I am fed up with the government of this country defending a country in the Middle East while unwilling to defend the borders of it’s own country from the Largest Land Invasion in the History of Mankind!

Citizens of this country are fed-up! Legal Americans have lost all patience with those who have broken into, and illegally entered, our country.

When illegals take to the streets of America’s cities, by the half millions, and parade their defiance of US Law in the faces of the people of the nation they have raped, it is a call to action!

When our political leaders do not have the fortitude to insist on the enforcement of laws to rid this nation of the pestilence of illegal immigration, it is a call to action!

When the law enforcement agencies of the nation shirk their duty and refuse to enforce the laws on the books, it is a call to action!

I have come to believe that our leaders are so out of touch with their constituents they have no idea how angry we are at the illegals… and… at them… for their spineless contortions to create legislation to cover their covetousness for minority voters and cheap labor! Truth be told, the lack of will, by the Republicans, to enact legislation to stop this mess is one of the major reasons they lost power in the 2006 elections!

The anger out here in the hinterlands, in “fly-over” country, is palpable. The heat of our anger is akin to touching one’s finger to a hot stove. Somebody is going to get burned!

If the Democrats are so damned insistent on “redeploying” the US troops in Iraq, then they should “redeploy” them to the southern border of the US… and not Okinawa!

If the Law Enforcement Authorities, and the Government Authorities, won’t enforce the laws, how long will it be before US citizens do it for them? Does the government actually want to encourage the formation of citizen’s Militia Units to take the law into their own hands and defend America? Because… it sure looks as if that is what is going to happen! I say again: LEGAL AMERICANS ARE FED-UP!

The rumblings have begun. This situation can get very ugly, very fast! Those of you in the “Hallowed Halls of Congress” need to reassess your stance on illegal immigration… and do it quickly. Your proposed bills to “solve” the situation have only created more consternation among your constituents. You really need to get out more. Get in touch with the people who sent you there. You will be surprised to learn that we are laughing, bitterly, scornfully, at your lack of understanding as regards the security of our Southern Border with Mexico. Put some” feelers” out in your Districts, and in your states, and learn just how angry we REALLY are. You apparently have no idea!

This is not going away…not until the border is secured and the illegals are rounded up, imprisoned, and/or deported… and… the illegal immigration laws, now on the books, are enforced!

Talk about “Home Invasion”!

I am a conservative Republican. I have been all my adult life. I am in my mid sixties and I am at the verge of leaving the Republican Party because our leaders have proven themselves to be “pretenders”, who are concerned only for their appearance before the cameras, and the microphones, of the mainstream media. We sent them what we thought was a powerful message last November! The lesson, it seems, was not learned! Now that the Democrats are in power, the situation will only get worse. They see those illegals as potential voters and they, sure as hell, will not do a thing to discourage the illegals from invading our country.

What a sorry bunch of Americans we have in DC! They have grown fat on the “good life” of Washington until they are afraid of actually “representing” their constituents for fear of losing their splendid, soft, positions in the nation’s capital!

You bet, I’m angry! And I’m just one among millions of Americans. Our nation is being over-run with illegal immigrants from Mexico and, God only knows where else! Good men have bled and died to secure this country in many crises before this one. And yet, the spineless Congress, we currently have, is inclined to allow this wonderful, marvelous, country to be lost through “inaction” and “lack of will”. It is absolutely insane!

I’m worried that this situation is headed toward a climax, which will go down in the history books. And it doesn’t have to be this way. If the leaders of this country don’t suck it up, and carry out their primary responsibility of securing the country, then American citizens will do the job for them! Then we will have the US Military facing off with American citizens… on American soil!

To our Congresspersons and Senators: in the name of all that is good, kind, and holy, we don’t need a new law! We simply need you to enforce the laws you have already made!

Don’t tell me the illegals can’t be rounded up. Put a bounty on them and our jails will be over-flowing by the weekend! Heck, I can visit my local hospital’s ER, tonight, and pick-up a school bus load of them in one trip!

Don’t pluck at my heartstrings by telling me we can’t “tear families apart”! Yes we can! They should have thought of that before crashing the border! In fact many of them DID! I mean… all they have to do is deliver a baby on this side of the border and they are secure! The “Anchor Baby Law” has to be rescinded!

Don’t tell me we can’t send them back into their country because their government is corrupt. Why not? Send them back and let them clean up their own government! Come to think of it… we need to be doing the same thing on this side of the border!

I’m totally fed up!

Ahhh… a voice of reason amidst the alarmist, and hysterical howls, of the terrified “global warming adherents”. A voice crying in the wilderness, it seems, for sanity!

Dr. William Gray, of Colorado State University, says man is not causing Global Warming. It is, he says, global ocean currents, and not “greenhouse gases”, pushing the global temperature rise.

One month away from the opening of the 2007 Hurricane Season, Dr. Gray says
increasing levels of carbon dioxide would not produce more, or stronger, hurricanes.
