GOP still running Liberal/moderate Candidates for President.

Rudy Giuliani has filed papers to create the Rudy Giuliani Presidential Exploratory Committee, Inc., establishing a New York-based panel that would allow him to raise money to explore a White House run and travel the country.
Read the entire story here:

“The former mayor is a moderate who supports gun control, same-sex civil unions, embryonic stem-cell research and abortion rights - stands that would put him at odds with the majority of the GOP conservative base”.(AP)

Now… please read the paragraph, immediately above, again...and that should answer any question you may have reference the chances of Mr. Giuliani in the South.

Let me see if I can clear it up a bit for you: Down here, in the American South, Gun ownership is seen as a God Given Right, same sex unions are thought of as equal to, or worst than, murder, abortion IS murder, and Embryonic Stem Cell research is possible only as the result of murder.

Now, if Mr. Giuliani can get around all these minus factors, here in the South, he might have a chance. I repeat… MIGHT.

As of this writing, I see no GOP candidates, even on the horizon, able to carry either the South or the conservative vote. Right now, GOP chances at recapturing The White House look about as good as they did when Bob Dole was the GOP candidate. ZERO!

I’m hopeful some conservative candidate will appear. I mean a CONSERVATIVE… not a COMPASSIONATE CONSERVATIVE! The only person I see who MIGHT fill that role, Newt Gingrich, is still below the radar.

Mitt Romney??? Forget about it. A run by Romney will be a waste of time and money.

It may turn out to be an interesting contest however, especially, if the Socialist Dems run Mrs. Bill Clinton. In the Southern United States the loathing for Mrs. Bill Clinton is equal to, or in excess of, that which the South had for President John F. Kennedy. But, having said that, as of this writing, I see no way the GOP can win the 2008 Presidential Election unless… the Socialist Dems run Mrs. Bill Clinton. Even then, it will be close.

(Oh, before you ask… I will continue to refer to Mrs. Bill Clinton, by her married name, so as to continually remind readers of this site that she is married to Bill Clinton, quite possibly the worst US President in history, even exceeding Jimmy Carter, (and that is a helluva difficult thing to do!) and... that Bill Clinton will return to the White House if she is elected.)

The recent election of the Socialist Democrats in America sealed the Balkanization of the country. Hopelessly split down the middle, the country will be in constant turmoil for decades to come. The danger to which the balkanization exposes America is incalculable. We are now, more than ever, “sitting ducks” for any country, or terrorist who might decide to attack us.

I can no longer conceive of America surviving as a single country. No country, as divided as this one, can long co-exist within the same borders.

The future looks very dark, indeed, for America.
