US Attorney General Alberto Gonzales Resigns! (Yawn!)

********************

You may have noticed there is very little rhetoric coming from my side of the political spectrum in defense of Attorney General Alberto Gonzales. You shouldn’t be surprised. Gonzalez is a nice guy, but he was not our choice for Attorney General.

Most of us, on the right side of the political spectrum, thought then... and still do... that Gonzales was not strong enough for the job. We felt he was certainly not conservative enough! Turns out we were right… again!

Now, don’t misunderstand: We did not like what the democrat Congress did to Gonzales. And... it will be a cold day in hell before we forget it! Eventually the tables will turn and the democrats will pay a dear price for railroading Gonzales. (That is EXACTLY how we see it. The dems "railroaded" Gonzalas!) I am convinced the dems went looking for the weakest member in the Bush cabinet... and set out to destroy him. Gonzales was that weak link. And, like the bullies they are, the dems went after him with every thing in their arsenal and, of course, Gonzales folded like a tent.

So, Mr. Gonzales is gone... and the dems are preening before their beloved Mainstream Media cameras and microphones.

But, hold on!!! The door is now open for a real conservative to serve as Attorney General for the duration of the Bush term. I hope Bush will not be so dumb as to submit a nominee to the Senate for confirmation as the new Attorney General. Oh, NO! Just appoint an ACTING Attorney General, and… get one as conservative as it is possible to beand rub the dems noses in their own mess for the next 17 months.

Sometimes things DO work out!

This guy was not conservative enough, what do you mean? He made the D.O.J. a part of the executive branch, while the attorney general he acted as though he worked for the President, Attorney Generals work for the people. Firing prosecutors to fix the outcome of state elections, totally drunk on power, yeah that's 100% conservative in my book. Now if we can remove Bush and Cheney we can restore freedom, liberty and prosperity to this country! My biggest beef with the democrats is that they didn't remove those 2 by any means necessary.

Gonzalas did not make the DOJ a part of the Executive Branch... the Constitution did that! The Attorney General serves at the pleasure of the President.

This is another power play by the dems. They have tried, like hell, to acquire the job of Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, another job constitutionally granted ONLY to the President and now they want to run the Department of Justice!

But, I must overlook them. Their lust for power has overcome their common sense, which, if present among that set of dems on The Hill, is certainly not obvious!

I mean, just look at the ratings of the Executive Branch and compare them to the ratings for the Legislative Branch. The Presidents approval ratings, as low as they are, are nearly DOUBLE the approval ratings of the Congress! This is the dumbest, least effective, (Did I say dumb???) useless, concentration of power hungrey bullies on God's green earth! They remind me of a "Humgator". That's an animal with the brain of a Hummimgbird and the bite of an Alligator.

I'm thinking of sending each member of Congress a copy of the US Constitution. It is obvious they have never read it. If one could put the collective brains of the US Legislators in a peanut shell, it would rattle like a "BB" in a boxcar!

This country desperately needs a Constitutional Convention. If for no other reason than to get those idiots to actually read the thing!

What an embarressment to the nation! "Nanny's House" and "Harry's Senate". I didn't think it was possible, but the two of them have suceeded in doing to the Congress what Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton did to the White House. Jimmy made it a joke... and Bill made it a dirty joke!

The attorney general is an agent of the people and not an abstractionist for the president! What if Janet Reno would have pulled this B.S.? George Bush can't even spell constitution let alone have a clue what it is for.

And George Bush made it a stupid joke.

But I like dirty jokes and Bill getting a "little on the side" is between him and God and Hillary and whoever is giving the "little on the side" and not really anyone else's business, shoot Newt and other republicans got a "little on the side" only difference is they were so ugly they had to pay for it.... Oh and that is illegal. It seems the only time crap like this matters is when a Democrat does it.... funny how hypocritical that is... I was hoping the truth would get out about W and Condi, what a shame the media keeps that one bottled up, the I could hear all the churchies say that that doesn't matter.
**********************************
The biggest embarrassment to this nation is that the terrorists actual won, they were smarter and more cunning and attacked us when an inept boob managed to steal an election and get appointed by the supreme court and this guy responds by invading a country who had nothing to do with it and was not a threat, then spend so much money over there that this government will never pay it off and is now the U.S. is just beginning it's final death throws and we will have to form the N.A.U. just to keep out of bankruptcy....
********************************
I just don't see how you can be blind to the real damage caused to this country at home and abroad by this moron in Washington! I suggest you turn off the right wing MSM (including Fox Noise, they distort and you comply) and get some independent news shows on.

Lemme see... who was the Attorney General when all those men, women, and children were burned to death in Waco, Texas? Now who could that have been? Or, when the little Cuban refugee boy was focibly taken, at gunpoint, from his family in Florida, and given back to the COMMUNISTS? Gosh, it sure is difficult to remember who the Attorney General was... or the
the "Boy" President. Oh, and before I forget it, as the entire democrat party has so convenietly done, ... the "BOY" President fired ALL 93 of those attorneys... not just 5. Incredible, isn't it?

What is so damned fightening is... the fact we're considering putting that same pair back in the White House! Down South, we call people who live like that: "White Trash" and we do not KNOWINGLY elect them to DOG CATCHER, let alone "leader of the free world"!

What the hell does making the DOJ a part of the Executive branch have to do with conservatism?

Longstreet, no use arguing with a feeler :)

Factually when a new president wins they all submit resignations, same when Regan won in '80 and Bush I, but they normally all get rehired and did when the "Man" Bill Clinton won.

I'd love to debate you Lord Nazi (i mean Nazh) but I'd have to tie my brain and the facts behind my back just to make it fair.
