John McCain is Done, Finished, Kaput!

John McCain is Done, Finished, Kaput!
******************
The folks in my home state of South Carolina were not enamored of John McCain to begin with, especially after his swipe at out Southern Heritage back in 2000, but in the past few days, when McCain came out in favor of Ted Kennedy’s Immigration bill, that was the straw which broke the camels back!

The two Carolinas, like the Border States, are submerged under layer upon layer of illegal immigrants. We have HAD IT! So, when the President, McCain, and Ted Kennedy tried to ram their new AMNESTY bill through the Senate, The Sandlappers and the Tar Heels went to war! They burned up the phone lines between the Iodine State, the Tar Heel State and Washington DC! The DC fax machines were smoking. The e-mail was jamming inboxes at the SC delegation’s and the NC delegation’s respective offices. The Carolinas had had enough! Turns out the Carolinas were not alone in their anger and consternation at a government so completely out of touch with its constituents! When South Carolina’s Senator, Lindsey Graham, is booed by his own constituents on his home state soil…. then you’ve got some angry, hostile, Sandlappers!

Senator Graham is in extremely hot water, back home, in South Carolina. By observing the man they sent to the US Senate to represent the people of the state associating himself with John McCain, South Carolinians feel a certain sense of being “sold out”. When Senator McCain sides with Ted Kennedy, and Senator Graham sides with McCain…. do you see why conservative South Carolina would feel that way? They are letting the good senator know exactly where he stands in their esteem. It isn’t very high. Senator Graham may well be on his way back to South Carolina, as a private citizen, before too much longer.

The angry people of this nation strangled the Amnesty Bill in the Senate. Now we must gather strength to fight the fight, all over again, in the US House of Representatives if it becomes necessary. However, for Congresspersons to know that even if they pass the Amnesty Bill out of their chamber, it will go nowhere… once it hits the Senate. Since we have a bi-cameral legislature, no single branch can pass a bill into law, even with the President’s signature.

Look, the "common sense" thing for the Congress to do, is one: Enforce the immigration laws we already have on the books, and two: secure the border. If it takes a 60-foot high concrete wall, twenty feet thick, then build it. Then… begin the deportation process. We have to first stop the tsunami of illegals flooding across the border before we can begin to seriously get a handle on those who have already helped themselves to the bounty of this land.

I have a feeling that those who felt the ’08 election would turn on the war in Iraq are wrong. The coming election appears to be about which candidate will stop the largest land invasion in the history of human kind. Honestly, I don’t now see a candidate among them, from either side, able, nor willing, to interrupt the flow of illegals into this country.

What a sad, sad, commentary on America’s leaders!

Some Think Opposing Global Warming Theory is Crime against Humanity!
*************************
We have felt for sometime the proponents of the Global Warming Hoax are on a power trip. Some of you didn’t believe that. Well, now comes the story that some of the GWC (Global Warming Crowd) want those of us, who do not buy into the awful science behind the global warming theory, tried for some kind of “crimes against humanity”. I am not kidding.

For the story on this go to:

http://epw.senate.gov/fact.cfm?party=rep&id=264568

I would seem to me that the very last place the GWC would want to go would be to a courthouse, or a court room, anywhere in the world. You see, a trial seeks truth. It seeks facts. It is our opinion that when the sloppy science of the Global Warming Theory is brought to light, the proponents would be laughed out of, practically, any courtroom in the world. The Scopes Monkey Trial would seem like a Sunday School picnic!

The frustration of the GWC must be monumental. They keep up their continuous drumbeat of doom and gloom and for the most part, that part of the world, which is most free, ain’t buying it. When you give the human race a choice between freedom, and the restrictions which would be placed on their freedoms by the GWC, they’ll choose freedom every time.

So the GWC continues to nag and snap at the ankles of humanity. And now… they want to put their opponents in jail!

You still think that’s not a power trip???

Note to my Senators on the Amnesty Bill

Not satisfied to sit back and wait and see whether the Amnesty Bill is revived in the next few days, I fired off a letter to both U S Senators of the North Carolina delegation. At least they will know how I feel on the issue! Below is the text of the e-mail is sent to my Senators:
**************************************

Dear Senator:

I cannot express my anger at the efforts of the US Senate, and our current President, to pass the “Amnesty Bill” into law… against the wishes of the American People. Our country is being invaded by the largest land invasion in the history of mankind and my government is doing nothing to stop it.

Senator, I must tell you now… I have been a life long registered Republican, since my 21st birthday in South Carolina. I am now 66 years old and I WILL NOT continue as a Republican if the Republicans in the Senate don’t turn this bill back and get serious about sealing our southern border before ANYTHING else is considered. I have already contacted the NC State Board of Elections concerning changing my registration to Independent. I cannot stay in a political party, which so ignores the pleas of its constituents the way the Republican Party is doing.

The word out this weekend is that the President, and the other senators, who support the Amnesty Bill, will meet, early next week, to attempt to revive that abomination of a bill. Senator, I am asking you, as your constituent, a Republican constituent, not to join in with those attempts to revive the bill and further, do everything in your power to see that it is stopped for good.

And, Senator … please pass along the following to the other Senators: if this amnesty bill, and that is exactly what it is, is passed, the Senators (and Congressmen) voting FOR the Bill will be vigorously campaigned AGAINST their next election.

I’m on the Internet everyday speaking with other Conservatives, all over this country, and we are fed up with the way the Bush Administration and the current crop of GOP Senators, and Congresspersons, have totally ignored us, especially on the Amnesty Bill.

Senator, it has been a very long time since something has touched me, and angered me, as much as the Amnesty Bill. I see my country being taken over, and it’s greatness being tarnished, and I HAVE to speak up.

I assure you, Senator that I, and those of the same mind as I, will not give up the fight. Plus, we will remember “who” voted “how” come next election. If the GOP thinks the 2006 election was bad, wait ‘til 2008. Conservatives will stay home in droves.

Please DO NOT SUPPORT the Immigration Amnesty Bill!

Sincerely,
************************************

This what we have to do, folks! We have to let them know, in numbers to huge to ignore, that what they are doing is absolutely against the wishes of their constituents!

We must be careful not to allow ourselves to be lulled into a false sense that the Amnesty Bill is dead. It is NOT! We must be wary… and stay one step ahead of our own representatives to the nation’s legislature.

Who would have ever thought that here, in America, the citizens would have to teach the government what it means to be a Representative Republic. But, that is where we are with the unresponsive government we have in power now.

So, come on, folks! Let’s hold their feet to the fire! Let them know exactly how you feel. Don’t give them an easy way out. This used to be your country and my country. Upon close inspection, one will find that it still is. But not for long… if we don’t stop the Amnesty Bill!

Seal the US Southern Border... NOW!

(This Article ran first in Decemeber of 2005!)

Seal the US Southern Border… NOW!
*************************
Well, well, well, Mexico is offended that we are going put up a wall along our southern border to stop them from breaking and entering our, I repeat, OUR country!

The utter gall of Mexico is astounding! They have been using the US as their very own welfare department. US dollars flowing south across the border, carried in the pockets of Mexican illegals, has sustained that country for entirely too long. It is way past time for the US to pull the plug.

I’m tired of the invasion of our country from the south. If the wall doesn’t stop them, sew the adjacent fields with anti-personnel mines. Harsh, you’re darned right it’s harsh! We can’t seem to get the message through their government’s skull that we want it stopped. And stopped now!

Not only does the Mexican government not make any effort to stop it, they encourage the illegal crossing of the border into OUR country. The government of Mexico may have to be reminded of just how often we have found it necessary to send our military down there to get their attention. I must tell you, anti- Mexican feelings are such, currently, in the states, that pressure is building among Americans to do just that… again.

Add to that frustration the growing feeling that US businesses and/or private citizens who are hiring the illegals for cheap labor need to be charged with a felony and slapped with humongous fines, or jail time, or both.

The flooding of OUR country by the ungrateful, demanding, country of Mexico has all but destroyed any amicable feelings we Norte Americanos have for our southern neighbors.

The hiring of a PR firm, by the government of Mexico, to polish up the Mexican image among the Yankees, is only going to hack us off even more. Now, not only do we feel invaded, but we also feel used, and we are fed up!

The US federal government apparently doesn’t want to stop this illegal flow of Mexicans north and the flow of US dollars south. If they did, they COULD stop it.

If Mexican immigrants wish to enter the US, then let them get in line with all the others, and enter legally, and we’ll be glad to have them. But breaking the line, and unlawfully crossing that border, and losing themselves amongst our population, must stop, and it must stop quickly.

We have an election coming up next year. Illegal immigration WILL, I repeat, WILL, be a factor in the elections. It will continue to be a huge factor until we elect federal officials who will put a stop to this invasion.

Look, we have huge unpopulated deserts (to one degree or another) in the southwest within which we could locate a number of internment camps. I’m for rounding these illegals up and, instead of sending them back across the border, put them in those internment camps and have them do maintenance labor along our highways, in our state, and national parks, and whatever we need done for the upkeep of public lands and infrastructure. After, say, 20 years of labor, they can then apply for citizenship or, continue to receive our largesse… in the internment camps.

Just sending them back across the border absolutely does not work! So, don’t send them back, keep ‘em, and force them to work to pay for their upkeep.

Drastic? You bet! But so is the problem they are perpetuating.

The anger you may detect here is just an echo of the deeply felt anger of Americans.

We have a problem on our hands that can be stopped, fairly easily, by our government. The frustration we feel is not only with Mexico, but with our own government as well. The invasion can be stopped, almost overnight. All it takes is the will to do what needs doing.

It is so bad, and the federal government is responding so poorly to the requests for help from the States along that border, that there is a very good chance that those states will take it upon themselves to seal their portion of the border with National Guard troops. If a state, such as California, wishes to keep their southern border open to Mexico, then I suggest we offer to give the entire state of California back to Mexico! Then the states surrounding what USED to be the state of California can then seal their borders with what will have then become a part of Mexico.

The next US Presidential candidate who runs on a platform of sealing the southern US border with Mexico WILL get the votes of the US southern states. That’s how serious it has become.

Washington, Mexico, we are serious about this. We demand action be taken in a timely manner to secure our southern border. US taxpayers are tired of supporting TWO countries! Enough is enough!

Not Interested!

Not Interested!
******************
I find it exquisitely telling that the viewership of the news shows of the Fox News Channel beat the Republican Debate on CNN the other night!

Roger Ailes, the head honcho of Fox News, is quoted as having said: “The candidates that can’t face Fox, can’t face Al Qaeda, and that’s what’s coming.” Mr. Ailes is said to have offered this pearl of wisdom the other night at the 9th annual presentation of the Eric Breindel awards for opinion writing.

There is certainly something to that. Although Mr. Ailes was referring to the Democrat candidates, the same would certainly apply to the Repubican candidates… indeed, ANY candidates.

Why do you suppose the audience was so low for the Republican debate on CNN. I’ll give you two good reasons, as a Repubican myself. First… the debate was broacast, or cablecast, on CNN. Conservatives don’t watch CNN. It is NEVER turned on in my home. If it is, by accident, turned on, I quickly order it taken down… immediately!

Second, it was a Republican debate. No conservative wants to hear the bunch of light-weighs the GOP is fielding at the moment. Conservatives simply are not interested. They have nothing to say, that I, as a conservative, want to hear. Nothing.

Conservatives are creatures of the political right! That’s where we live. We are dug-in to our positions, on the right, and have no intention of changing. So, as BOTH major political parties, in America, shifted to the left, Conservatives remained exactly where they/we are, and have been, all along. Our core beliefs have NOT changed. So, why then, would we be the least bit interested in what the gaggle of GOP candidates have to say on a debate cablecast on, arguably, the most non-conservative network based in America?

One final thing: It is WAY TOO EARLY to have debates! It is WAY TOO EARLY To be this deep into a political campaign! Unless, those instigating this early launch hope to create disinterest and boredom and yes, even apathy, among the voters by election day. A little slight of hand, perhaps? I mean, aren’t you about fed up with it already? Of coure, there are the folks who never engage in ploitics until the eleventh hour. They won’t be affected by this early launch. But, as a rule they are not activists on the political scene in America. Those of us who are, tend to latch onto a political campaign at the outset and remain with it to the, sometimes, bitter end. And WE are the people whom the “Early Launch” instigators would like to be rid. (A little of my paranoia peeking above the rim, there!)

But, the fact remains, until the GOP fields a conservative candidate, with an honest to goodness chance… conservatives are not interested!
