Does the Democratic Party have a Death Wish?

Does the Democratic Party have a death wish? It continues to display a suicidal desire to offend the delegates to its forthcoming convention and the rest of the voters.

In recent days we learned that it is contemplating a platform plank that would endorse same-sex marriage, something that its core African-American voters detest. Maybe they are after the gay vote, but gays constitute barely three percent of the population and not all are Democrats.

It has been announced that former President Jimmy Carter will address the convention via video. Widely regarded as the worst president of the modern era, if not of all the presidents until Obama was elected, Carter in his post-presidential life is best known for embracing every dictator he ever met, for attacking Israel as an “apartheid” state and as a staunch defender of the Palestinians whom even fellow Arabs dislike. I am sure many American Jews, another voting bloc for Democrats, will likely be offended by his participation.

Elizabeth Warren, a Massachusetts candidate for the Senate who originated the “You didn’t build that” meme that Obama embraced will be another convention speaker and, it turns out, she enhanced her resume by claiming to be a native American with an infinitesimal amount of Cherokee blood. Even the Cherokee nation has disowned her. There goes the Native American vote.

In an odd decision the Democrats have given the job of nominating Obama to former President Bill Clinton. Never mind that he was the first President since Andrew Johnson to be impeached while in office or the first to be exposed for having an affair with a White House intern as young as his daughter. As President, he witnessed the return to power in Congress by Republicans. Many of the programs for which he is given credit were initiated by them. Obama has just used yet another executive order to gut the welfare reform program he signed into law!

Meanwhile, President Obama continues to campaign by calling for higher taxes on everyone, but carefully never mentioning his much-hated signature legislation, Obamacare. Catholic delegates to the convention may be wondering if they have to park their conscience at the door given the Obamacare mandates regarding abortion issues.

Then there’s the little problem of more than forty-two straight months of unemployment in excess of eight percent or the three years without a budget vote. Running a nation on continuing resolutions is a very bad idea.

Harry Reid, the Majority Leader in the Senate who has blocked more bills from even being debated than anyone in modern memory, recently stood in the well of the Senate to announce that an anonymous source—a little birdie—told him that Mitt Romney had not filed his tax returns since shortly after the end of the Civil War. He was soundly denounced for such piffle, but it does reflect the kind of lies the Democrats are now resorting to.

Advertising supporting Obama’s reelection has included one that suggests that Mitt Romney was responsible for a woman’s death even though it occurred years after he had left Bain Capitol and was filled with other lies. An earlier Democratic ad portrayed Vice Presidential pick, Rep. Paul Ryan, pushing an old lady in a wheelchair off a cliff. Campaigns have always been ugly, but suggesting one’s opponents are murderers is a new low. The odds are we have not yet seen them reach the bottom rung of iniquity.

The Ohio Democratic Party law suit to deny an early voting option to those serving in the U.S. military is yet another dumb move and it is widely believed that the Democrats are again looking to have dead people vote in large numbers.

Has, in fact, a political party ever had a more deceitful and distasteful group of leaders than Harry Reid, Senate Majority Leader, Nancy Pelosi, House Minority Leader, and Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the current DNC chairwoman?

Does it strike anyone as hypocritical and absurd that while the DNC hammers Romney to release his tax returns, Obama has yet to have released his college transcripts, the passport on which he traveled to Pakistan, or any records that might provide some truth as an alternative to the fairy tale memoirs he has written?

Who else can the DNC offend? It would not surprise me to see a Muslim imam get the call to provide the opening and closing prayers.

Romney names Paul Ryan his No. 2

NORFOLK, Va. (AP) – Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney introduced Rep. Paul Ryan of Wisconsin as his vice presidential running mate on Saturday, turning to the architect of a deeply conservative and intensely controversial long-term budget plan to remake Medicare and cut trillions in federal spending.

 In the campaign to come, Republicans will present economic solutions “that are bold, specific and achievable,” Romney said as he presented his political partner. “We offer our commitment to create 12 million new jobs and bring better take home pay to middle class families.”

 The two men basked in the cheers of supporters in their made-for-television debut on a ticket hoping to make President Barack Obama’s first term his last.

“I did not make a mistake with this guy,” Romney exulted.

 “I am deeply excited and honored to join you as your running mate,” Ryan said in his first words at the podium.” He said that together, Republicans would eliminate the country’s “debt, doubt and despair.”

Well, I guess this Paul Ryan pick will really piss off the air heads and MORONS that kept going on and on about a brokered convention and having Newt and Saint Sarah of Palin ride in on white horses and save the day!

I was never a big Romney fan, but he is what he is, he’s all we’ve got, and while I am 100% certain that he is infinitely better qualified than Barack Hussein Obama and will turn the direction that this nation is headed around, I wasn’t going to become too terribly enthusiastic until I saw who he picked to be his VPOTUS candidate. Now I am getting some enthusiasm!

Let’s face the cold hard truth; the GOP screwed up in 2008 when they managed to get John McCain nominated to become POTUS and McCain screwed up even worse than the GOP itself; he picked Sarah Palin to be his running mate.

McCain was a weak candidate at best, he was running against a *rock star* personality, or so some thought, and Palin was an act of desperation, a *glam piece* run in to try and offset the mundane and sometimes repulsive John McCain.

The *fluff and gruff* MAVERICK ticket failed miserably.

Paul Ryan is not fluff! Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan are highly capable administrators that know this; money doesn’t grow on trees and it damned sure doesn’t come from a printing press in the bowels of Treasury, not REAL money!

This election cycle just got a lot more interesting; Romney didn’t go for *glam and fluff*,
he chose a a highly competent and capable running mate that brings more to the table on his own than the entire administration of Obama and his minions.

Maybe this time we’re NOT getting the lesser of the evils if we vote for a Romney-Ryan ticket. The more I watch Romney, the more I see and hear, the more I truly respect the man and what he stands for.

There is one indisputable FACT that ALL Conservatives and GOP voters have got to accept, Barack Hussein Obama has got to go in November!

Forget Third Party votes, don’t DARE make the comment that you’re going to *sit this one out*, you are beneath contempt if you say so or do so!

The very fabric of this nation is in shreds, Romney and Ryan won’t be able to fully repair that fabric in one term, the damage that has been done will take quite a while to get over, but this is America, we are strong, we are fighters, we love our nation and we have survived the likes of Jimmy Carter; we will survive the cancer that IS Obama!

For God and Country, and all future generations, let’s take America back!

Last Spring, I wrote that the Presidential Campaign of 2012 would prove to be one of the dirtiest campaigns in the history of the US. 

Less than three months to Election Day and the Obama Campaign -- including the Democrat Party -- has already sunk to the bottom of the political sewer and are drilling for new depths of depravity.

The outhouse stench of their scatological maneuvers to smear the republican candidate will, no doubt, go down in the annals of history as even worse than those of the father of their depraved party, Andrew Jackson, in the election of 1828.  In fact, the 1828 election campaign seems more a Sunday School picnic when compared to the democrat's scurrilous  assault on their worthy opponent from the GOP.  We urge you to visit this site and bone-up on the 1828 election campaign and then compare what has been known since as the dirtiest Presidential Campaign in American history -- until the Obama Campaign of 2012.  You will find it here:  http://history1800s.about.com/od/leaders/a/electionof1828.htm 

To be honest, I am at something of a disadvantage in my endeavor to write these words without the use of profanity.  But let there be no doubt -- what the Obama Campaign (with the enthusiastic participation of the Democratic Party) is doing to the Romney Campaign , IS profane! Just as this scribe warned weeks ago, they are doing it with pure, unadulterated, glee.

The democrats are leaving a nauseatingly odiferous trail of rotting carrion in their wake that will stain the history of the USA forever.

Newsmax reported the following in an article entitled:  Obama Widens Lead Over Romney as Smear Tactics Take Hold: "In recent weeks Obama campaign surrogates have led a no-holds-barred assault on Romney.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., has repeatedly claimed that a source told him that Romney paid no taxes for a decade. An ad by a pro-Obama super PAC also seeks to link a Bain investment in a steel plant that eventually closed to the cancer death a woman married to one of the workers who lost his job."

The airwaves are encrusted with their rhetorical slime disguised as political ads.  Their sick, twisted, manipulations of an all too eager mainstream media to spread their hate-filled lies and punitive propaganda reeks of a pathological purgatory risen from the deepest  recesses of hell itself.  It seems there is more than a little evidence of a deep-seated mental disorder guiding the warped, wicked, and vulgar democratic party celebration of lies, distortions, slander, and misrepresentation that is their 2012 presidential campaign.

The Obama campaign's coarse abuse of this political season demonstrates a total absence of shame, the emotion that defines our humanity and separates the sane from the psychopaths. 

Look.  Obama's barbaric assailment of Romney is indecent and obscene, and the ribald manner in which his minions have elevated dishonor to a fine art is disgusting and repugnant to decent Americans.

Registered democrats across the US ought to be hanging their heads in total embarrassment and demanding that Obama remove himself from consideration as their candidate for President even before their convention in Charlotte.

As a North Carolinian myself, I am mortified to the core that my state will be hosting their coven of hellish delight in Charlotte, NC, so close to my hometown.  No doubt, the city of Charlotte will stand in extreme need of fumigation upon their departure.  Believe me, if this solitary Tar Heel had the power, I would withdraw their welcome and demand they relocate their convention somewhere, anywhere, outside the state of North Carolina.  Alas, I have not that power.

By the end of this Presidential campaign, America will be even more divided than ever in it's history -- and that includes the period from 1861 thru 1865.  Even in that divided period, Americans on both sides of the conflagration maintained their honor.  Obama's campaign has shed its honor as a snake sheds it skin and slithered away to sink its venomous fangs deeper into America bloodstream fatally poisoning what is left of public discourse.

No one seems the least bit concerned that history is replete with the evidence of what happens to the people of a country when they can no longer engage in civil discourse.  They resort to violence.  And that is exactly where America is headed -- as surely as a Martin flies to its gourd.

Obama swore to fundamentally change America.  He has accomplished that, without doubt.  Americans are already at each other's throats and it can only deteriorate from here.

If Obama is victorious in his bid for reelection, America will reap the whirlwind of chaos and anarchy as Americans turn on their brother and sister citizens until our vaunted society morphs into a cesspool of hate and violent vengeance.

It is only a short step to martial law in America and a virtual dictatorship by the man who has proven to all the world that he will do anything to gather as much power over his fellow Americans as he possible can and then insure that he, and he alone, wields total power over the lives of all Americans suddenly yoked with slavery to Obama's every whim.

It is clear that behind that dazzling smile there is something dark and foreboding and deeply disturbing setting off the alarm bells in our minds triggered by the primal fear of all sane human beings that danger is near.

A sane country, an honorable country, would banish such a person to the most distant outer edge of its society and certainly not consider him for the highest leadership post in the country.

I am deeply concerned that America has so lost its way that it cannot sense the danger right before its eyes and will sign its own death warrant on November 6th, 2012.

Petraeus is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, a U.S. foreign-policy think tank that promotes world government.

If there is any doubt as to whether this scribe would support Petraeus for Romney's VP, then allow me to be very clear.  The answer is:  HELL NO!

Petraeus' politics has been worrisome for me for years.  Unlike many of my colleagues, I never thought Gen. Petraeus' military decisions were all that great.  In fact, I felt he was more a politician that a soldier.  Unfortunately for the men and women of the US military, I am afraid that too many of our top brass are made from the same mold today and that may well explain why we haven't won a war since the 1940's.

Look. I am a solid conservative.  Like many conservatives throughout America, I am not happy that Romney is carrying the GOP banner as the candidate for President of the US.  I am convinced Mr. Romney, though a darn good man, is, in fact, a RINO (Republican In Name Only). 

When George W. Bush, who described himself as a "compassionate conservative," proved to also be a RINO, I made myself a promise.  No more "settling."  I decided to be true to myself and to what I believe.  And there has been hell to pay since.  Fortunately, I am not unused to taking incoming "friendly fire" when I claim my position, plant my flag, and announce that THIS is where I stand and I'll not be moved.  Been doing it all my life and I have the scars to prove it. It doesn't take courage, it takes fortitude.  

As to the remainder of this campaign for President, I think, in the next 90 days, or so, we will see Romney and Obama basically tied in the polls.  I believe that is because conservatives are grudgingly supporting Romney with many, such as myself, refusing to whole-heartedly throw their support his way.  There is a reason for that, which I will share shortly.

As a conservative, here is what I think will happen -- and soon now.  I believe Obama's people are just about persuaded he needs that "grand event" to push him past Romney in the final leg of the campaign and they will convince Obama to launch an attack on Iran -- probably in late September or early October.  (I'm convinced the Israelis believe this, as well.) 

Should I be correct, and Obama does, indeed, order an attack on Iran during the October Surprise window, I think it will anger conservatives who will recognize it for what it actually is -- politics --  and they will come off the sidelines, join Romney's legions, and push Romney across the finish line -- in first place -- on November 6th.

Back to Romney's Veep list.  Not a single name on the "public" list excites me -- at all. I seriously doubt that any names Mr. Romney is keeping to himself would excite me, either. 

I know my stance on Romney is going to upset and anger many of my fellow GOP members.  I've already heard from a few. But, I have tried to make it clear from the beginning that I am an unabashed "Dixican" -- a southern conservative republican -- and darned if I can get excited about a Northeastern liberal republican.  It just ain't in me.

Many have reminded me that Romney is a "conservative" republican.  Look.  A Massachusetts conservative and a South Carolina conservative are worlds, if not galaxies, apart.  

Northeastern republicanism and southern republicanism are strikingly different.  Southern conservatives tend to sit-out elections that feature northeastern republican candidates. 
This time, however,  the election is critical to the continued existence of the United States. Southern conservatives are being forced, by circumstances,  to participate in an election that, frankly, they would, under ordinary circumstances, simply sit-out -- again.  We are NOT happy campers.

The thing that northern and southern republicans agree upon is this:  Obama must go if the US is to survive as a free country. 

The people of the south are mostly of Celtic ancestry and we relish freedom above all else. And we will fight for it -- even when that means joining forces with those we do not quite trust in order to vanquish a threat to our liberty.

Though nobody wants to speak openly about it, there is a definite uneasiness within the ranks of the GOP this election season and I have just laid bare at least one of the reasons for it.  It is not very likely you will hear THIS discussed on cable news show panels.

Oh, while I am at it, some commentators are claiming that Romney could win the southern conservative vote by choosing Rubio, a "conservative" from Florida, a southern state.  Not so. 

Southerners, by and large, do not view Florida as a southern state, at least, not culturally nor politically.  Rubio's brand of conservatism, while it may reflect that of Romney, is not compatible with southern conservatism.  So, no. Choosing Rubio will not assist Romney in securing the southern conservative vote.

Southern conservatives who DO wind up voting for Romney will not support him in  the campaign.  They WILL vote for him in November ONLY as a vote against Obama.

Should Romney win the election in November, he will serve as President of the United States without the support of Southern conservatives.  Romney will be viewed, in the South, as a transitional president with the hope that a real conservative can be found to challenge him for the presidency in 2016.

The plain truth is that southern conservatives want Obama out of the Oval Office and someone to hold the seat until the next election.  That is as delicate a manner of expressing an unpalatable truth as I am capable.

There is something very telling about an incumbent president asking an "impeached" president to go to bat for him.  It's sort of like someone in court for, oh, jay walking, having a car thief testify as to the character of the accused in court. It's wildly weird! 

Those of us who correctly sized up Obama as a dyed-in-the-wool, set -in-concrete, NARCISSIST -- even before his election, and THEN having our suspicions ratified by Obama himself, well, we're scratching our heads and asking amongst ourselves -- WHO, exactly, IS running Obama? 

Here's the thing (as they say):  Left to his own devices a man of Obama's character would NEVER, I mean -- NEVER -- have someone else come to his rescue in public, especially in public!  NEVER!

Yet, with a clatter of hooves, a  cloud of dust, and a hearty "Hi-Yo-Democratic Party," comes the white-haired man of shame, er, I mean, man of fame, he of the "I did not have sex with that woman," of the spotted dress, of sex in the Oval Office, of licentiousness personified -- none other than William Jefferson (Blythe III) Clinton, AKA "ole Bill"-- comes riding to Obama's rescue in full view of the cameras of national and international television.

What's wrong with this picture?  Just about everything.  Unfortunately -- it will probably work! 

Our man of international mystery -- Barack Hussein Obama, AKA Barry Soetoro -- now President of the United States, must be absolutely furious. 

So why is Barry, I mean, Barack, going along with this humiliating slap in the face? 

I'm convinced Obama has no say in the matter. He has to do it. It is being forced upon him.

What?  How the heck do you force the most powerful man on the planet to suffer this sort of humiliating indignity before the eyes of the world? 

The answer is easy. 

Barry's not calling the plays.  That Soetoro, guy, you know, the one we know as Obama, ain't in charge. He's a front man, a puppet, a marionette.  Someone, or some thing, is pulling his strings -- and -- to keep his rather cushy job he must sit down, shut up,  and let the grownups take care of his reelection.

Gotta tell ya, folks,  a tale of a guy who comes out of nowhere, leaving a trail of diversions for anyone seeking to nail down his previous life, and winds up as President of the United States, well, if you published it as a book it  would, of necessity, be published as a novel, a  fictional tale of intrigue, of international skulduggery, an immense flimflam -- a con job.

But -- HEY!  It WORKED!  And you can't argue with success -- or -- can you? 

                  
Actually, you CAN argue that the emperor has no clothes, but as we have seen, hardly anyone pays attention, or admits to paying attention, because if they did, then they'd have to admit that they had been suckered -- played for fools -- and lost. NOBODY wants to admit THAT.  So, their own egos get in the way of exposing the truth and everybody plays along with the game while watching everybody else from the corner of their eyes.

This thing with Clinton and Obama is worrisome on a number of levels.  Unless there has been some sort of epiphany, Clinton is not an admirer of Obama.  It was clear during the 2008 campaign that Obama was not overly fond of the Clintons, either.   

Yeah.  It makes you feel like you need a shower, doesn't it?

Some feel it is "panic" move by the democrats because they know from their own internal polling that Obama is in trouble against Romney this November.  I don't buy that -- I mean the "panic" part.  The democrats are far to cool and conniving to be in any fear -- at least at this point.  That may come later, but not yet.

No, I think the "big guns," the people pulling the strings, are making a move to prop up their puppet, Obama, because it became clear that leaving him to his own devices in THIS campaign would be disastrous.   Obama is so full of himself that he apparently felt safe in allowing his Marxist ideology to shine through -- prematurely.  (Remember the "You didn't build that" slip-up?) That could not be allowed.  So out from stage left comes the "go-to" guy, Bill Clinton.

And the teleprompters have been rushed back into service to make darn sure that Obama makes no more of his Marxist declarations like -- you guessed it --  "You didn't build that!"

The really "creative" nonsensical declarations will be assigned to the Vice-President -- as if he needed orders to do what he does the moment his lips begin to move.

With his Central Casting used car salesman appearance and presentation, Biden is seen as a joke by everyone except the Democratic Party's "true believers," anyway.  But somebody has to shovel the manure and Joe does wonderfully at that job, for which, he seems uniquely equipped. 

As the campaign moves along it is becoming painfully clear that Obama is NOT his own man but is answering to the pressure on his strings from the person, or persons, behind the curtain.

But WHO, exactly, are they?
