A Commentary by J. D. Longstreet

Remember how the press was insisting during the 2008 presidential campaign, that Obama was sooo coooool? Oh, yeah, "cool, man, cool!"
Got news for you. He ain't "cool." He's "C O L D!" And he is "distant" to boot.
We tried to tell you the man was, and is, a Narcissist. EVERYTHING is about him. He is cold toward everyone else because no one besides him, of course, has any value.
I've noticed recently in his speeches, he refers to "MY" national Security Team. "My" director of whatever department.... and so on. The emphasis is on "MY". And that is the way our president is. Hey, THIS is the guy with his finger on the Nuclear Button!
OHMYGAWED! What have we done??
Well, to begin with, I had no part in it. I didn't vote for the man. In fact, I did everything within my power to convince you, and others, to vote for someone else. I saw the man for what he is -- and it scared the hell out of me! It still does. I am convinced he is dangerous.
Peggy Noonan, in an article she wrote for the Wall Street Journal, has referred to Obama's coolness as the dark side of cool. Ms. Noonan said: " He is cold, like someone who is contained not because he’s disciplined and successfully restrains his emotions, but because there’s not that much to restrain. This is the dark side of cool. One wonders if this will play well with the American people. Long-term it is hard to get people to trust your policies if they think you’re coolly operating on some intellectual or ideological abstractions."
There seems to be an inability on the part of Obama to connect with other people. He simply has no connection to the everyday American. All the people around him are merely props and he the star actor on the stage gliding through the script, basking in the warmth of the spotlight, while totally ignoring the supporting cast.
Add to that the fact that Obama is a "Statist" and you have an American ruler whose style of ruling is more akin to the style of the old Russian monarchy than to that of a President of a democratic representative republic such as America.
Statist are all about the government. At a site titled: "Advocates for Self Government," they say the following: "Statist tend to favor a great deal of government control over individual behavior and over the economy. That's why WordIQ.com defines "statism" as "any social or political system in which state intervention plays a major role." The Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary defines it as a "concentration of economic controls and planning in the hands of a highly centralized government."
Does this sound familiar? It should.
Add it all together and what we have is a cold, distant, statist, socialist, as President of the United States.
Hey, you SAID you wanted "change!" You GOT it. How's that working out for you, huh?

I can't get past the feeling that something inside Obama is broken -- or missing -- something in the "emotions" department of his persona. He strikes me as being detached from the situation he is addressing as well as from those around him.
There seems to be an inability on the part of Obama to connect with other people. He simply has no connection to the everyday American. All the people around him are merely props and he the star actor on the stage gliding through the script, basking in the warmth of the spotlight, while totally ignoring the supporting cast.
Obama's narcissism is blatant. Someone has said his narcissism is near malignant. The more I see and hear of the man, the more I tend to agree with that assessment. The emotional distance is always there. One has to wonder if there is ANY passion in the man.

Advocates for Self Government goes on to say the following: "Some statist call their political beliefs populism, socialism, or communitarianism. At the extreme, undemocratic end of the statist spectrum, statism also encompasses communism, fascism, and other forms of totalitarianism." We encourage you to visit Advocates for Self Government and read the entire article. You will find it: HERE

I am so sick of everyone calling our president a socialist. It is so clear he is a capitalist with a capital PIG... Just like every other capitalist PIG to sit in the oval office. Spending all this money to bail out the banks and wall street while the people at the top take millions of our hard earned dollars. See sir you guys do not understand what a socialist really is, someone like me who finds the imperialistic ways of a capitalist/fascist empire despicable. No sir as a true Redd Blooded American Socialist, sir, I would have not bailed out the banks with tax dollars, privatizing public money is wrong. I would have seized control of the banks, and the morons who ran them in the ground would have gotten a bullet in the head instead of a parachute. Then I would have billed their families for the bullets. High time you learn the difference between capitalist pigs and socialist populist politics..... Also I think you and many others out there suffer from a type of idol worship where you elevate national symbols to god-hood also another symptom of fascism.
