LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (AP) – President Barack Obama, in a strikingly personal appeal, renewed his call for an overhaul of America’s immigration laws before a supportive Latino audience Friday. He portrayed rival Mitt Romney as an obstacle to measures that would give young illegal immigrants a path to citizenship.
“These are all our kids,” he declared.
To a standing ovation, Obama spoke of his directive last week that immigrants brought illegally to the United States as children be exempted from deportation and granted work permits if they applied.
Reflecting on his own life as the first African-American president, he said: “When I meet these young people, all throughout communities, I see myself. Who knows what they might achieve? I see my daughters, and my nieces, and my nephews.”

Obama to Hispanics on immigrants: I see my kids
First and foremost; “measures that would give young illegal immigrants a path to citizenship” are already in place, it’s called deportation. Then they can try to become American citizens the right way, by using the system and the process that is already in place, the LEGAL way!
Barack Hussein Obama said, “These are all our kids“, but I have to disagree. MY kids were born in the United States of America, to LEGAL American parents. Apparently, Obama was pandering the Hispanic crowd, going for the *brother from a different mother* connection.
It probably worked, Hispanics are real *big* on anyone that will make their friends and family members LEGAL American citizens. Even if it means a total violation of American law and a Presidential order of AMNESTY for the ILLEGALS.
I seriously don’t understand why it’s so difficult for bleeding heart libbers and Democrats to grasp the fact that ILLEGAL means *against the law*, as in having committed a CRIMINAL ACT, that act being their presence in the United States illegally.
Is that so hard to understand?
Obama also said: “When I meet these young people, all throughout communities, I see myself“.
Now hold on a minute; this was a speech being made to Hispanics in Florida regarding some sort of path to U.S. citizenship. If Barack Hussein Obama ‘sees himself when he meets these young people’, people that we must assume are ILLEGALS, is that an unintended admission BY Obama that he himself is not in the USA legally?
I would think that such a statement could easily be interpreted as such.
Obama’s address also illustrated his own challenge in meeting an earlier campaign pledge.
Four years ago, before the same Latino leaders group, Obama vowed to make changing the nation’s immigration system and taking steps to legalize millions of illegal immigrants a priority he would “pursue from my very first day.”
Barack Hussein Obama; making the same promises in 2012 that he made in 2008, and again I have to wonder; how much of this immigration rhetoric from Obama is *self serving*? How much is, or was designed to save HIM if it was ever discovered that he was NOT a U.S. citizen by birth?
Or, maybe he’s just pandering.
On Friday, Obama blamed the lack of broader changes on Republicans who once supported adjustments to immigration law and “have been driven away from the table by a small faction of their own party.”
He noted that Romney during the Republican primaries said he would veto legislation, known as the DREAM Act, that would give a path to citizenship to young immigrants who came to the United States illegally as children but have since attended school or served in the military.
“He has promised to veto the DREAM Act and we should take him at his word,” he said,
It was lack of action on the DREAM Act – the Development, Relief and Education of Alien Minors Act – that led him to take the administrative steps he did last week to defer deportation for some young illegal immigrants and give them work permits instead, he said.
The Dream Act.
Ask about to be FORMER Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison what the Dream Act, and her support of it, did to her popularity and approval rating among even her most dedicated supporters here in Texas.
Hutchison claims she is retiring from politics, and in truth, NOW she is, but she was retiring from the Senate in order to come home and run for Governor of Texas. She was a dismal failure in that effort and I am certain that she saw the writing on the wall; Texans won’t support a RINO that pushes the Dream Act.
That may also be a point for the Romney campaign to consider if they are going to seriously consider running Marco Rubio as Romney’s VPOTUS running mate. Rubio is a Dream Act supporter, and I NEVER make wild accusations without citation: Marco Rubio’s DREAM Act plan might be dead this year.
"Romney on Thursday assailed Obama’s action as merely a “stopgap measure” in his own speech to the association, backing off the tough anti-illegal immigration rhetoric of the Republican primaries. He promised to address illegal immigration “in a civil but resolute manner.”
Mr. Romney, STOP PANDERING and speak like a Conservative Republican that actually *has a set*!
There are only 2 ways this ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT issue will be settled; one is to grant full amnesty to them and throw the Constitution, and U.S. law in the trash can, or, we stand on the rule of law and deport the ILLEGALS, allowing them to return if, and only IF, they do so in a lawful manner
.
The first option is NOT acceptable in my estimation. The second option would be a very difficult to achieve, not impossible, but very difficult.
The American people need to look themselves in the eye, the LEGAL American people, and they need to ask themselves this question; will we be a nation of LAWS or will we become a sort of *scofflaw* nation?
One last thing; if Obama and Romney are the best this nation can come up with to be, or potentially be, the POTUS, we, as a nation, are in DEEP *stuff*.
