The Saddam Hussein trial is turning out just as many of us expected. It has already become a 3-ring circus, complete with clowns.
As soon as Saddam was yanked from that spider hole in the ground, the play began.
For the next few months we will see the play unfold upon the world's stage of the various TV networks all across the globe. Saddam will milk it for everything it’s worth… and then some.
The prancing and preening of his “Defense Council” will be nearly equal to the boisterous braying by the old bull himself, Hussein.
Islamofacist propagandists and the political Left’s propagandists, as well as some brain dead American Leftist propagandist will shovel their own piles of manure onto the heinous crimes of Hussein in an attempt to sell them to the public as though they were French perfume.
The Islamofacists will proclaim the unfairness of the proceedings and will tell the world how the EVIL US is destroying the wonderful legacy of the Great Leader of Iraq. All the while the mainstream media of the world, print and broadcast alike, will lap it up and present it to the world in such a way as to make it seem, as nearly possible as they are able, that Hussein is, in fact, being tried unfairly and should be released and returned to power in Iraq. The palpable fear emanating from the common man, and woman, in Iraq has it’s source in that belief. They fear Hussein will be released.
The trial itself is a farce. It is a necessary farce, however. It is a foregone conclusion that Hussein will be executed at the end of these trials... whenever that may be. But in the meantime, this public spectacle provides a stage from which the political left and the Islamofacists will spew their doctrine of hate for the US and all things democratic and, let us not forget, all things Christian. Any number of us, on the political right, could have written the script for this play. For that is what it is… pure stagecraft.
The trials themselves will serve only to inflame the followers of Hussein and the Islamofacists to even more dread deeds of lawlessness aimed at intensifying fear in the masses of Iraq and the surrounding nations.
The US has played right into their hands.
There is only one way to remove this soapbox from the Islamic extremists and that is to immediately close the court to only those participating in the trials themselves. No cameras, no microphones, and absolutely… no press.
The instant the judge’s gavel dropped the Pandora’s box was opened. There is no way to close it again without damage to the democratic process in Iraq. It would seem that our diplomats have yet to learn there is simply no way to play fair and win in this war. Every extended hand will be pushed aside and the raw hatred, of our Islamic foes for America, will roll right over any effort to be just and merciful.
There is no need for this charade to ever have been forced upon the people of the world.
Justice could have been served quickly, and quietly, and only the body of Mr. Hussein produced for a quiet funeral with only witnesses present to confirm the identity of the deceased.
But no, the magnanimous nature of America has again stirred a hornet’s nest that need not have been disturbed.
Now, the whole world will be subjected to the awful, awful, theatre from the Middle East.
We just never learn… do we?

Sadam was framed, in oder to do justice and resotore order to Iraq we should re-install him sa their leader. We did not have these problems when he was incharge and he was NO THREAT to the U.S.!

Your insistence upon continually calling for the US to retreat and “bring the troops home” is actually giving aid and comfort to the enemy. The terrorists are losing in Iraq but, by golly, they are winning in the US… simply because of the aid they are receiving from the American Left.
Do you not understand they are laughing their behinds off at your ignorance and you pliability? They can, and have, wrapped the America Left around their little fingers and they are running you as if they were coaching a group of naive children in a sporting event.

Someone has to do it. We have learned over the last 4 decades that the US cannot rely on the American Left for any assistance, at all, in securing our freedom. We are the only thing standing between you and danger, the likes of which you have absolutely no idea. You cannot conceive of the depth, and degree, of “absolute evil” in the world. You seem totally oblivious to the fact that there are people out there who would cut your throat and laugh at you as your lifeblood spilled from your wounds.
Yes, dear heart, these are the people we are fighting in Iraq and the entire Middle East. These are the people who LAUGHED at killing 3,000 Americans on 9-11. These are the people who snatch reporters, and peace activists, off the street and cut their heads off… on television. These are the people who love death more than life, who want you dead more than they want to live. These are the people who will send their sons and daughters, with bombs strapped on them, to kill themselves and, hopefully, kill Americans, or Jews, in the act! These are the people who blow up airplanes, who blow-up buildings, who attack unarmed Ocean Liners filled with civilians, who fire shoulder fired missiles at civilian airliners, in hopes of killing hundreds of unarmed civilian passengers.
These are the people you want us to understand more??? What’s to understand? A sane person looks at this evidence, smeared in blood across the pages of history and knows, without further explanation, these people are pure unmitigated, EVIL!
Yet you, sir, would defend them against your own country? How can you sleep at night? How?
We know you are frightened. And we will do everything in our power to keep you safe… because we know that you are incapable of defending yourselves. The brave men and women of the Armed Forces of the US do not just fight for those of us on the political Right. No sir! The fight for you, too. They give their lives to defend your right to pillory them, and abuse them, and intensify the degree of danger your country finds itself in. Men and women have died, sir, to protect YOU! Have you no gratitude? Have you no humanity? We all have fear. But we have a choice to either run away, or to stand and fight, and eradicate the source of the threat, which induces the fear. The Right has chosen to stand and fight. The Left has chosen to run away.
You so remind us of a trapped animal, so deep in fear, and panic, that it will lash out at the human offering assistance, help, and safety.
Surely the ability of the Left to reason has been damaged. That is the only explanation for the behavior of the Left.
The line is now so clear between the Left and Right in America. Americans have finally come to understand that the security of the country rests solely with the Americans on the Right… the Americans who are willing to stand between this country and those who would destroy her. Nobody else. The left has abdicated, and left the field and worse, now stand on the sidelines of the field of strife openly, and loudly, proclaiming their support of America’s enemies.
