The 2008 Election is coming!

The 2008 Election is coming!

Let’s project ahead to the US Presidential Election of 2008.

It would appear the Democrat Party candidate will be, as expected, Hillary Clinton. Then Republicans are counting on that.

The Dems know a painful truth. They cannot win without the South. The South, you may remember, allowed itself to be snowed twice, by Jimmy Carter, and by Bill Clinton. For a moment, the South forgot that even though they (Carter and Clinton) were Southern… they were still Democrats. It will be a cold day in Hades before the South will elect another Democrat from the South…and that goes double for the South’s historical, and traditional, enemy, the Northeast.

So, with Hillary on the Democratic ticket, who will the Republicans run?

Republicans know John McCain cannot carry the South. McCain is a liberal. He is a RINO (Republican In Name Only.) He will not get the South’s vote.

Rudy Gulliani has the same problem. He, too, will not carry the South for the same reason John McCain can’t get the Southern vote. He’s Liberal. A RINO. The South is Conservative…even the Democrats. (Besides… how many Southerners do you know named Gulliani, huh?)

Back in 2004, the South, including the Tar Heel state, rejected the Democrat ticket, which included a North Carolinian, John Edwards. Mr. Edwards will not have a chance of carrying the South any time in the near future… if ever. The people of North Carolina have not forgiven him for gaining the Senate seat and using it as a launching pad in a bid for the Vice-Presidency with an eye on the Presidency. Tar Heels have VERY LONG memories.

So, whom WILL the South vote for under the Republican banner?

Condoleezza Rice.

The racist, bigoted, South, as described for you by the Main Stream Media, is going to vote for a black woman for President? You Bet!

You see, we have an unusual situation coming up in 2008…an open seat for the Presidency. The incumbent is not running, the Vice-President, Dick Chaney, is not interested in running, so, there is no “heir apparent” on the Republican side.

There is, however, a way around that little problem and the Republican Party is exploring that avenue even today.

Here’s the scenario:

Suppose in say, January of 2007, Dick Chaney announces he is resigning for reasons of health. President Bush thanks him for his service and announces his choice for Vice-President is Condoleezza Rice. Problem solved, election over.

Why, you may ask, am I bringing up the 2008 election now? Because, the campaign has started. The Mainstream Media is already pushing Mrs. Clinton. Get used to it. For the next 7 years, and some months, she will be promoted by all the broadcast networks, all the cable news networks, save for Fox News, and all the major newspapers and news magazines. They constitute the “Media Wing” of the Democrat Party. They carry the water and do the heavy lifting for the DNC. The Republicans have Talk Radio, one TV cable news channel (Fox News) and the Internet…. And Republicans have cleaned the Democrat clock. You see, they by-passed the MSM and went directly to the American people.

The Democrats have missed an important fact about the American Electorate. They are no longer the dumb, uneducated, masses Democrats knew how to manipulate, through fear, for many, many years. No longer. Americans now know where to go to access the facts, and information they need upon which to base their political decisions. And they are dong it.

You see, the Mainstream Media has lost it’s strangle hold on the voter’s source of information.

This is a new day in American politics. Conservatives have waited a long, long, time for it. Let’s relish it.

Your Obedient Servant,

“Longstreet”
