Cutting US Dues to the UN !

Cutting US Dues to the UN

Well, finally, the US House passed a bill, a few days ago, aimed at beginning the clean up of the UN. Or else. Or else... we will cut our funding in half. The US supports the UN to the tune of somewhere between 22% and 26% of their operating budget, annually, depending on who you ask.

The UN has become rotten to the core. Even with all the evidence of corruption, there are many in the US Congress who support the UN just as it is. Many of them are in the US Senate. That is where this bill will run into trouble.

Heck, the Senate can’t even allow themselves to vote on the President’s choice for Ambassador to the UN, John Bolton. Does anyone really think they’re going to pass this bill? No way!

The “One World Government” crowd is well entrenched in the Senate. They’re not about to let go of their dream for the US, and it’s constitution, to come under, and become secondary to, the rule of the UN. Ridiculous you say? Not so, say I. Who do you think is sitting on the Bolton nomination?

This bill is long overdue. But, frankly, I do not believe it has any chance of clearing the Senate... and if it does, the President will veto it. So, it is, for all intents and purposes, dead right now.

Our suggestion continues to be that the United States pull out, completely, from the UN. I don’t like my country associated with such a corrupt organization. It’s embarrassing. We also suggest the UN move it’s headquarters to, oh, say, Paris. Heck, the French deserve to have that bunch of incorrigible reprobates on their soil for a few decades. The UN would feel right at home... and I doubt the French would even notice their presence.

There comes a time in the course of every failing project to cut your losses and get out. That time has long since come, and gone, for the US to get out of the UN.

The bill from the US House is woefully inadequate, anyway. It puts off the "dues cutting" until way down the road... some three years from now. Why not cut the dues now, and get their attention? But, as I said, this is a moot point, as the bill will not survive the Senate.

At the risk of beating a dead horse, I still urge the US to get out of the UN and get the UN out of the US.

Yeah o.k., here ya go, we cut the dues, the gov. uses that money for something else, Iraq, Corporate bailouts, what ever, the U.N. runs short on cash and you get the U.N. taxes you were ranting about earlier. Watch it, think, think, think. Then your globalist buddys stand and point fingers at the U.N. or at Liberals and you uninformed masses go nuts.
