What IS Treason???

What is Treason???
__________________

Over the past few days we have word the word "treason" and "sabotage" used to describe the political party newly in power in our national government.

I sometimes think we toss around phrases and words without knowing their full meaning and the impact they might have on others.

If you are a frequent reader of this site then it will come as no surprise to you to learn that I have no qualms about doing what we have to do, as a country, to keep our fellow Americans safe in this war. For, make no mistake about it; America is neck deep in a war for her very life.

There has always been a certain element among us (Americans) who seem, for all the world, to hate their country, to hate anything their country does, and to take every opportunity to embarrass, or make the US appear as to be the global bully. Now it is bad enough that anyone would do this, but for Americans to do it is a stench in the nostrils of decent people. Still worse, for Americans to do it, while their country is at war, is the worst of the worst.

Some call it treason, some call it sedition, and we can’t repeat what others call it.

But… when one’s disagreement goes so far as to actually give aid and comfort to the enemies of America, then Federal Law, the US Code of Laws, has defined it for all of us. It has proscribed a punishment for that behavior.

As there seems to be a distinct lack of knowledge about what is, and what is not, TREASON. So, for those of you who may be a little confused about what exactly Treason is, then here is the US law which tells us all exactly what it is, and, in terms even a child can understand:

18 USC Sec. 2381 01/26/98
TITLE 18 - CRIMES AND CRIMINAL PROCEDURE PART I - CRIMES CHAPTER 115 - TREASON, SEDITION, AND SUBVERSIVE ACTIVITIES
HEADING
Sec. 2381. Treason

STATUTE

Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.

Now, you know!

Now that you have this knowledge, it will be much easier to recognize it when you see it, hear it, or read it.

Our government officials continually remind us that we are a nation of laws. I have come to believe they are mistaken. We are, in my view, a nation of un-enforced laws!!! It the laws were enforced we wouldn’t have millions of illegal aliens running around in this country.

Plus, a goodly number of our politicians would not be in office today.

Wouldn't someone who gave safe passage for an enemies family out of a country that had been attacked also qualify as treason under the giving aid and comfort terms? Like when on sept. 12th we flew Osama's relatives and other Saudis out of the country instead of interrogating them. Well sir wouldn't someone who did that be quilty of treason? America is at war for it's existence and we should act like it and we should also identify the enemy within..... the G.O.P.
