Effort Already Underway to Repeal ObamaCare

It is “not getting much press,” as they say, but the repeal of ObamaCare is very real in the US House of Representatives. “More than three-quarters of the needed members of the U.S. House of Representatives have signed onto a measure to have a new vote on Obamacare that essentially would allow the chamber to withdraw its approval of the law and begin the process of banishing it from American shores.” (From World Net Daily. Well, that’s interesting, what? Hadn’t heard about it – had you?

Are you surprised?

You shouldn’t be. With the mainstream media in the tank for Obama, they seem ready to sweep under the rug, look the other way, or completely ignore, in this case, one of the biggest stories leading up to the Democratic Party massacre in the Mid-Term Election just a few weeks away.

Ok, so what’s going on with the efforts to repeal ObamaCare, anyway?

According to WND, the discharge petition has already obtained 162 signatures of the 218 it will need. Under the provisions of the discharge procedures in the House, the signatures of 218 members, a majority, of the 435-member chamber is needed before it can move forward. As the 218 signatures IS a majority of the House membership, it is near certain to be approved once it reaches the point of advancement. With a majority signing onto the discharge petition, Speaker Pelosi cannot stop it.

You may remember that all of the Republicans and 34 Democrats opposed Obamacare when it was passed on a narrow 219-212 vote earlier this year. That should mean that at least 212 members of the House should be ready to repeal ObamaCare since they were against it, and voted against it, just a few months ago. If it turns out that way, those pushing the discharge petition will only need a handful (roughly a half dozen) of democrats for the petition to advance.

Now, all of this activity on the repeal of ObamaCare has been going on, successfully, in the face of massive opposition from Speaker Pelosi and the hardcore Obamacrats in the U. S. House.

You may remember that Pelosi said they’d have to pass ObamaCare before we could find out what was in it, right? Well, they passed it, and we read it, and the majority of the electorate is P.O.ed that the US Congress would foist such a statist, socialist, piece of bovine scatology on the American citizens. As a result, the Democrats in the current “Kamikaze Kongress” are facing the worst defeat at the polls in the modern history of the United States.

This November, a slew of Democrats are going to have to answer to their constituents for having voted for socialized medicine and saddling those same voters with massive tax increases, and even more government intrusion in their lives.

If there are any two things Americans hate, it is taxes and government meddling in their private lives.

Here’s the wording on the petition: "Pursuant to clause 2 of rule XV, I, Steve King of Iowa, move to discharge the Committees on Energy and Commerce, Ways and Means, Education and Labor, the Judiciary, Natural Resources, Rules, House Administration and Appropriations from the consideration of the bill (H.R. 4972) to repeal the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, which was referred to said committees on March 25, 2010, in support of which motion the undersigned Members of the House of Representatives affix their signatures."

So, the effort to repeal ObamaCare is underway and your help is needed. If you want to see this law, which was dragged from the sewer of socialism, repealed -- and a spike driven through its heart so that it can never be revived -- then we suggest you contact your congressperson right away and tell them you want them to sign on to the discharge petition TODAY! With your help it is not impossible to overturn ObamaCare during THIS SESSION of Congress!

Congressman John Boehner, Republican of Ohio, is recently reported to have said: "While rushing their massive government takeover of health care through Congress, President Obama and congressional Democrats promised it would create jobs, lower costs, reduce the deficit, allow Americans to keep their health care, protect seniors' coverage, prohibit taxpayer-funded abortion and, of course, gain the support of the American people…” Boehner continued: "It isn't just that none of these promises or predictions have turned out to be true. In every instance, Obamacare has made matters worse."

Boehner went on to say: "The American people remain squarely opposed to this government takeover of health care that has already failed to live up to specific promises made by President Obama and Washington Democrats.

"Republicans are listening to the American people, and fighting to repeal Obamacare so we can replace it with common-sense reforms focused on lowering costs and protecting jobs…"

There is much to be done to ensure the repeal of ObamaCare and the sooner we begin -- the sooner we will be rid of this abomination from the depths of hell.

Oh, please tell me you did not buy the lies out of Washington that the government is going to tax the rich to pay for Socialized Medicine otherwise known as ObamaCare? Surely you didn't fall for that!

Heck, I seriously doubt there are enough rich people in the US to make a dent in what that Communist program called ObamaCare is going to cost the citizens of the US.

If I were among the rich of this country, I'd be staying up nights transferring my assets off shore and getting myself, my family, my business, and, anything the government could tax, out of their reach. What the current government of the US is doing to the wealthy Americans is flat out wrong. It is thievery by another name... taxes.

Americans are so ignorant of their history that it is inexcusable -- no worse! It is embarrassing! . Americans have forgotten this country fought a war for independence over, what else, TAXES! This country was founded as a result of a TAX REVOLT! What the current federal government is doing to the citizens of the US makes King George look like a shirker!

I hope those of you who voted for Obama are happy. You wanted change. Well, you got it. From a democracy to a socialist nation in less than a year. Hope? What hope? We are screwed for at least three more years. The bunch of clowns and fruitcakes running the Congress are pathetic socialists/communists/democrats lusting after power and nothing else.

Guess what they are about to do? No I don't mean Amnesty for the Illegal Aliens living among us... although that is certainly coming. I mean the load of taxes they are about to slap on the middle class of this country.

Do you know what a VAT tax is? Huh? It is a Value added Tax. Sometimes referred to as a "sales tax".

In an Article entitled: "Damn the Deficit: Full Speed Ahead on Health Care", Michael Barone said the following:

"The instrument they may have in mind is the value added tax, which operates as an invisible sales tax on goods and services. Back in May, Budget Director Peter Orszag's spokesman mentioned the VAT as a "credible idea" that he did not want to rule out. In June, House Ways and Means Chairman Charles Rangel suggested a VAT as "a point of discussion."

In September, John Podesta, head of the Obama transition team, spoke of how a VAT would "create a balance" with other economies, and White House adviser Paul Volcker cited a carbon tax and a VAT as ways to raise lots of revenue. In October, Speaker Nancy Pelosi said, "Somewhere along the way, a value-added tax plays into this." " You may read the entire article at:

A Value Added Tax is a tax on the estimated market value added to a product or material at each stage of its manufacture or distribution, ultimately passed on to the consumer. Please read that last phrase again. "Passed on to the consumer." Socialists/communists/progressives/democrats do no understand that businesses do not pay taxes. The government actually THINKS THEY DO! Those of us who have actually run businesses understand that a business passes the cost of taxes along to his customers in higher prices for the goods and/or services his business produces or offers.

The attraction of a VAT tax to our government is twofold. One: It will raise a lot of money for them to squander. Two: it is a hidden tax -- hidden from you, the consumer, the sucker. Prices on goods and services will sky rocket while, at the same time, sales of those products will fall through the floor. Soon afterwards business will begin shuttering plants and offices and the unemployment figures will spike upwards even more than then the real figures, I am convinced the government is not releasing. (10.2%? Come on, now. Figure closer to 13% maybe even higher.)

Taxes, taxes, and even more taxes are coming to the American middle class. If the ObamaCare bill passes, you are not going to believe how much that "free" healthcare is going to cost you! Some of us, like myself, with chronic diseases will pay for it with our lives.

We can stop some of the coming taxes by stopping ObamaCare in the Senate in the next few days.

Contact your Senators and your Representative, ASAP, and tell them, in no uncertain terms, that you want them to vote against ObamaCare and any, and all, new taxes. We have to cut off the money and starve this government into submission.

And be prepared, America. Our economic situation is going to get a lot worse before it gets any better. When inflation sets in, sometime around mid-year 2010, your money and mine with be worth a whole lot less than it is today.

But, hey! America wanted "CHANGE!" Well, what do you think of the change now???

Socialized Medicine in the US.

National Health Insurance? No way!

“National Health Insurance” is one of the primary tools used by a government to control her people. That alone is enough for me to be whole-heartedly against it.

Now, lets get something straight… I believe the Health Insurance Companies, in America, deserve what they get. They have been, in my opinion, abusing their subscribers for entirely too long. Rates have risen through the roof at an undeservedly fast pace. Sure medical costs have gone up, but not at the percentages your insurance premiums have gone up. This has to stop. But National Health Care is a cure worse than the disease.

More government in our lives is more than just a little bit scary. Once National Healthcare is implemented, and don’t get me wrong, I believe some form will be, your life will be under the control of the administrators of that insurance.

For Instance, lets say you have an obesity problem. You have developed a heart problem as a result of the obesity. You need treatment for your heart. National Health Care says: “OK, we will not pay for the heart treatment until you lose weight”. Or, they provide all citizens with a chart, approved by the FDA, of the “Approved Foods” all citizens should eat. They make it clear that if you cannot show proof of having ingested those “approved” foods, on a regular basis, also decided by them, you Health Insurance is no good. You will not receive treatment. Or, another example, you may be allowed to have one child only. It must be a boy. (See China.) If you choose to have another baby, after the approved ONE, the costs will come out of your pocket. Get the picture?

Now, this does not take into account the reduced quality of care we will receive from the medical community. Their hearts will not be it. After 8 years. or so, in school, to learn their profession and they will become “salaried government employees”. Need I say more?

The left is hell-bent on imposing such a system on the citizens of this country. National Health Care is a Socialist dream. It is also a Conservative’s worst nightmare.

We must be on our guard, for some form of National Health Care is about to raise its ugly head in the Nation’s legislature. Our socialist Congress, in ka-hoots with our socialist president, are working hand in hand in the shadows, behind the scenes in Washington, DC, to yoke the citizens of this country to the slavery of universal healthcare. The month of July is the target date, we are told, to get a bill to the floor of the US House of Representatives. It is time for conservatives to exercise their power and stop it in its tracks as we did the “Clinton Care” attempt in the ‘90s.
