The "Racist" Tea Party ... And Other Bovine Scatology!

At its annual meeting, this year in Kansas City, the NAACP passed a resolution, which condemned the conservative Tea Party Movement as “Racist.” It is, of course, total “Bovine Scatology.” But it is not surprising.

The Tea Party is a true “grassroots” American conservative movement born out of the frustration of the citizens of America with an ever growing, leftist, socialist/marxist/progressive-leaning government which has grown ever more non-responsive to the wishes and desires of its constituents – and -- has shown a penchant for passing laws the majority of its citizens do not want – ie – ObamaCare.

"We take no issue with the Tea Party. We believe in freedom of assembly and people raising their voices in a democracy," Ben Jealous, president and CEO of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, said in a statement:

"We take issue with the Tea Party's continued tolerance for bigotry and bigoted statements. The time has come for them to accept the responsibility that comes with influence and make clear there is no space for racism and anti-Semitism and other forms of bigotry in their movement," Jealous said. Speaking to the Cable News Network (CNN) Mark Williams, national spokesman of the Tea Party Express said the following: "I am disinclined to take lectures on racial sensitivity from a group that insists on calling black people, 'Colored,' “ Mr. Williams went on to say: "The Tea Party [movement] is about the constitution of this country...[and] ensuring equality for each and every individual human being." If one did not know it, one would think an election approaches -- an election in which the NAACP’s favorite political party stands to lose and lose BIG!

For months we have warned that conservatives cannot take for granted, at any level, that a huge win in November is assured. We warned, repeatedly, the Democratic Party/socialists would have their minions going to the polls in waves to dilute the conservative vote and, as a result, secure the reins of power for the Democratic Party, which, nowadays, is, itself, a socialist party. WE have just seen the overt beginnings of that wave of democratic/socialist voters.

In the weeks leading up to the November vote, we will see more and more such gestures designed to inflame the democratic/socialist masses in America. They are frightened witless that the Obama Regime may be successfully boxed-in and rendered impotent by conservatives in the Mid-Term Election.

They have good reason to fear because the conservative movement in America rightly understands that is their only option at this point. If the conservatives can take away just one of the Houses of Congress from the power hungry grasp of the democrats they can leave the Obama Regime, more or less, powerless so far as the passage of more of their socialist agenda.

Even if conservatives are successful in limiting Obama’s legislative power in November, his use of Presidential Executive Orders is still open to him and, as he has shown so far in his regime, we WILL use it.

If, as many Americans believe F.D.R was an American dictator, them Obama is surely a demigod.

Unfortunately, a spawn of a thuggish Chicago political machine, with an obvious narcissistic ailment, holding the reins of power in a country filled with a population as stubborn, willful, energetic, and still in love with freedom, should have never happened. But it did. It is an anomaly, to say the least. To say it is a dangerous anomaly may, in fact, be an understatement.

When Americans sense a risk to their freedom, they tend to rise up and crush that which dares offer the threat. They prefer to do so at the polling places with the ballot. Sterner measures are reserved, nevertheless, for those threats mere ballots cannot erase.

Not since the Lincoln Administration has America experienced a government as out of control as the Obama Regime. Americans north, south, east, and west have had enough. As a result, the Tea Party was born. Americans have banded together to resist what they rightly discern as a threat to their freedom.

The Tea Party Movement is not about race – Obama’s race, or anyone else’s race. It is about freedom and the continued existence of our constitutional republic. It is Americans resisting what they perceive as the threat of tyranny. America was born as the result of resistance to tyranny. It has survived nearly 2-1/2 centuries resisting tyranny, and, god willing, it will continue to survive as long as Americans, like those in the Tea Party movement, take a stand and say “enough” whenever they perceive a threat to the freedom and liberty of the people of the United States of America.

The story is told (You may have received this story by e-mail as many did.) that a chemistry professor in a large college had some exchange students in the class. One day while the class was in the lab the Prof noticed one young man (exchange student) who kept rubbing his back, and stretching as if his back hurt.

The professor asked the young man what was the matter. The student told him he had a bullet lodged in his back. He had been shot while fighting communists in his native country who were trying to overthrow his country's government and install a new communist government.

In the midst of his story he looked at the professor and asked a strange question. He asked, 'Do you know how to catch wild pigs?'

The professor thought it was a joke and asked for the punch line. The young man said this was no joke. 'You catch wild pigs by finding a suitable place in the woods and putting corn on the ground. The pigs find it and begin to come every day to eat the free corn. When they are used to coming every day, you put a fence down one side of the place where they are used to coming. When they get used to the fence, they begin to eat the corn again and you put up another side of the fence. They get used to that and start to eat again. You continue until you have all four sides of the fence up with a gate in the last side. The pigs, which are used to the free corn, start to come through the gate to eat; you slam the gate on them and catch the whole herd.

Suddenly the wild pigs have lost their freedom. They run around and around inside the fence, but they are caught. Soon they go back to eating the free corn. They are so used to it that they have forgotten how to forage in the woods for themselves, so they accept their captivity.

The young man then told the professor that is exactly what he sees happening to America. The government keeps pushing us toward socialism and keeps spreading the free corn out in the form of programs such as supplemental income, tax credit for unearned income, all sorts of agricultural subsidies, dairy subsidies, payments not to plant crops (CRP), welfare, socialized medicine, drugs, reform of our financial system, even amnesty for illegal aliens already within the borders of America, etc. while we continually lose our freedoms - just a little at a time.

One should always remember: There is no such thing as a free lunch! Also, a politician will never provide a service for you cheaper than you can do it yourself.

Many Americans now see that all of this wonderful government 'help' is a problem confronting the future of democracy in America. If you happen to be one who thinks the free ride is essential to our way of life then you will probably disagree with what we say here, but God help you when the gate slams shut!

American citizens need, desperately, to listen and observe what is going on today in Washington, DC. Bailouts, nationalization of businesses, and US government take-overs of banks, OBAMACARE (socialized medicine), Cap and Trade, Amnesty for Illegal Aliens, new laws that ham-string our financial system and financial institutions and our national; economy, are just the opening gambits of the socialist regime currently in power in our nation’s capital.

Americans are observing the redistribution of their wealth today, and they do not like it!
Americans need to listen closely to what the Congress and the President are saying and doing and promising us.

SOME of us warned this would happen. We were sneered at, and made fun of, and, in some cases, ostracized. Now the painful truth is coming out as Americans slowly wake up and learn they have given their country away to a socialist regime. Now, just maybe, Americans will be able to tell who is about to slam the gate on America!

America must be retaken from the socialists. That is why the Mid-Term Election, this coming November, is so important. It is a chance for the people of America to retake their country the democratic way, without violence, as happens so often in other countries around the globe.

Until the Obama Regime took over, America was the last, best, hope for mankind’s freedom on this planet. Obama and his courtesans in Congress crushed the hopes of millions looking to American leadership in their quest for freedom. If freedom is crushed in America – what hope is there, anywhere, for freedom to gain even a toehold?

America needs a purge of Congress this November in order to save our country. We desperately need to clean the House and the Senate of Socialists, Marxists, Progressives, Liberals, and RINOS.

If we are to save America then we must give democracy a chance to work by going to the polls and voting the above out of office and making darned sure they are not replaced by others of like mind.

Yes, it is a tall order but red-blooded conservative Americans have never been shy about stepping to the forefront when their country is in trouble whether in war or when the threat to freedom is coming from inside the government itself -- as it is today.

We must see that America never slips back into the hands of those who would destroy her ever again. We must teach our children and grandchildren the Constitution, teach them “unrevised” American history, and teach them their duties as a citizen of a free nation. When possible, we must get our children out of the public education system.

We must never, ever, allow ourselves to become apathetic about our government again! We must constantly engage those who would drive America back into socialism. We must give no quarter to those who would enslave Americans with the yoke of an all-powerful socialist central government.

John Philpot Curran said the following: "It is the common fate of the indolent to see their rights become a prey to the active. The condition upon which God hath given liberty to man is eternal vigilance; which condition if he break, servitude is at once the consequence of his crime and the punishment of his guilt."

The reasons to defund and repeal Obamacare continuing to pile up as more and more facts are revealed by those willing to spend the time necessary to dig through the over 2000 page law.

Now we learn that Obama lied to America about the Public Option (government-run health Insurance companies) being dropped from ObamaCare. It was NOT dropped. It is STILL in the law -- only hidden. Look for yourself. Look in Section 1334, pages 97-100, of the new health care law. If you feel as if you have been screwed –that’s because you have!

Do yourself a favor and read the Washington Examiner editorial entitled: “Public option is alive and well, but hidden.” You will find it HERE.

According to a recent Rasmussen poll 50% of Americans still want ObamaCare repealed. As more and more of the duplicity in the law, and surrounding the law, and the continuous flow of lies from the White House and the Democrat/socialists in Congress concerning this law raise the ire of Americans there is good reason to hope for a REAL change in November at the polls.

Americans have been lied to over and over and over by the Obama Regime and his courtesans in the Congress. It never seems to stop. There is a constant stream of lies from the left -- especially concerning the ObamaCare Law.

What is the Obama Administration trying so desperately to cover up? What else is going on behind the closed doors in the White House and the West Wing and yes, in the Congress? Like children caught with their hands in the cookie jar, they are lying to try to save face.

We have news for them. It is TOO LATE. The carefully woven curtain behind which the truth has been hidden is being shredded daily. Their pains-takingly molded façade is cracking and crumbling and falling away revealing the bones amid the corruption within what has been exposed as nothing more than a whited sepulcher.

The taint of socialism is everywhere in our government today. America is dying a slow agonizing death from the killer of nations -- the political cancer we know as socialism. It is eating away the core of our country.

The worst is yet to come. I know it is not popular to say that, at least in public, but a few of us are convinced that America has not yet seen the worst of this financial crisis. In fact, a handful of us actually believe we are at the threshold of a global economic collapse, which will lead to the collapse of entire national governments around the globe. There is absolutely no way America can dodge this bullet. The American economic system is so interwoven with the economic systems of the other nations of the world that when any one nation’s system fails -- America takes a hit. How many hits can American withstand before our system collapses as well? In her weakened condition, the answer, I’d say is, not many.

The European economy is only treading water today and will be circling the drain tomorrow. The impact on America’s economy when Europe fails will be incalculable.

I cannot shake the feeling that America is being set up – set up to fail. ObamaCare is only one part of the plan to weaken America and make her citizens so dependent upon government that when the American collapse comes, we will flock to whatever those in power offer as a means of survival. That which I expect them to offer, finally, is – Global Governance. (With Global Governance borders will no longer be needed. So, why secure the US/Mexico border if we are headed for a global government? Does that make you ponder, perhaps?)

The recent uptick in our economy is akin to the rally a dying person experiences just before their demise. With an election just 6 months away, the democrat/socialists are pulling put all the stops to buy time and to create a mirage of “Recovery.” They know they face a political massacre at the polls in November and they are trying, with all their might, to salvage as much of their power as they can.

Don’t believe them. If they will lie to Americans about the Public Option being taken out of the ObamaCare Law, then what else will they lie to us about? What else have they been lying to us about all along?

Remember in November. Take your rage to the polls and throw the bums out in November.

“The longest suicide note in history” is not a phrase I came up with. I stole it from some talking head on TV. For the life of me, I cannot remember his name. But, whoever said it was “spot on!”

This week the Democratic Party is scheduled to commit suicide. Their intention to ram ObamaCare, a socialized medicine bill, down the collective throats of a highly P.O.ed America will finish them off for the remainder of 2010 and most likely return them to the wilderness whence they came. For the record, we’d like to say: “Good Riddance!”

Susan Ferrechio, of the Washington Examiner, in an article entitled: “Democrats lack health care votes, but not bravado,” says the following: “Even though Democrats control 253 votes in the House, more than 40 in their party are refusing to vote for the bill because they don't like its tax on expensive insurance policies, subsidies for insurance policies that cover elective abortions, lack of cost containment and sweetheart deals for some senators.” Ms Ferrechio also says: “Congress intends to take up a second bill that corrects some of the provisions in the Senate bill that House members don't like, but that bill would have to be passed using a politically divisive parliamentary maneuver called budget reconciliation, which would require just 51 votes in the Senate.” You may read the entire article HERE.

Can you say “gridlock?” Why is the term gridlock important? Well, after ObamaCare is passed or killed, there will be an onset of gridlock on both sides of Capital Hill. There will be a dash for the goal line, at the Mid Term Election, this coming November. The Republicans will be charged by their constituents with blocking any moves by the Democrats, boxing them in, hemming them in, and generally neutralizing them until the nation can vote them out of office in November. THAT will be the primary job of the GOP now until November.

The Democrats, on the other hand, will be extremely busy “backing and filling” in a vain attempt to repair all the damage they will have done to their party. Plus, they will be trying, as best they can, to distance themselves from the their president, who, as it turns out, is the worst president in the history of the republic.

Out here in the hinterlands, the explosive conservative movement known as the Tea Party will be growing exponentially, and devising new ways to unseat unresponsive congresspersons and senators in the Mid Terem Election. (By the way the word “TEA,” as in TEA PARTY, is an acronym. It stands for TAXED ENOUGH ALREADY!) But most of you knew that, already.

If the Kamikaze Congress does, indeed, pass ObamaCare into law, the battle cry from the voters of America will immediately become “REPEAL OBAMACARE.” Public relations campaigns are already being planned around the concept. Candidates who subscribe to a repeal of ObamaCare, and promise to work towards such a goal, will be virtual “shoo-ins” at the polls in November.

The democrats are deviously plotting a way, some way, ANY way to sneak ObamaCare through the US House without Democrats actually having to vote for it! They are scared “witless” of what they know is coming – a purge of the Congress.

They can possibly pass the bill by using the process of “self-executing” which entails attaching ObamaCare to another bill so that recorded votes will only show the democrats voted for the bill to which ObamaCare is attached, although ObamaCare would be passed at the same time as the bill to which it is attached. Not only is the concept confusing and devious, it is most likely unconstitutional.

As usual, the democrats think the American people are stupid. They REALLY think we will not discover who voted for ObamaCare. Of COURSE, we WILL -- and we will publish those finding for the world to see.

As we watch a vast number of political careers in Washington, DC come to an end this week, remember, we are watching history unfold right before our eyes.

In the months ahead more history will unfold as a citizen’s movement, of the conservative persuasion, reshapes the political landscape of America. When the dust settles, finally, after the election in 2012, the New America will resemble the Old America -- the Old America, which was more aligned with the US Constitution (as The Founders of this nation intended) and NOT as a socialist nation more akin to the socialist states of Europe.

ObamaCare MUST be defeated and the Congress and White House must be purged of the Socialists, Marxists, Progressives, and Communists if the union is to be preserved. That is the bottom line NOBODY wants to speak publicly about. The uncomfortable fact is, this nation cannot continue as 50 “united” states if she continues on the path our current crop of leaders have chosen for us. The differences are far too deep and the chasm is far to wide to ever be filled or bridged. A house divided cannot stand.

America must be rescued at the polls this coming November. May God, in his infinite wisdom, lend his assistance to the effort to preserve this noble experiment we call America.

"The twisted scheme by which Democratic leaders plan to bend the rules to ram President Obama’s massive health care legislation through Congress now has a name: the Slaughter Solution.

The Slaughter Solution is a plan by Rep. Louise Slaughter (D-NY), the Democratic chair of the powerful House Rules Committee and a key ally of Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), to get the health care legislation through the House without an actual vote on the Senate-passed health care bill. You see, Democratic leaders currently lack the votes needed to pass the Senate health care bill through the House. Under Slaughter’s scheme, Democratic leaders will overcome this problem by simply “deeming” the Senate bill passed in the House - without an actual vote by members of the House.

An article in this morning’s edition of National Journal’s CongressDaily breaks the story, starting with the headline: “SLAUGHTER PREPS RULE TO AVOID DIRECT VOTE ON SENATE BILL.” You may read the entire article HERE.

National Journal’s Congress Daily says: "House Rules Chairwoman Louise Slaughter is prepping to help usher the healthcare overhaul through the House and potentially avoid a direct vote on the Senate overhaul bill, the chairwoman said Tuesday.

"Slaughter is weighing preparing a rule that would consider the Senate bill passed once the House approves a corrections bill that would make changes to the Senate version.

"Slaughter has not taken the plan to Speaker Pelosi as Democrats await CBO scores on the corrections bill. 'Once the CBO gives us the score, we'll spring right on it,' she said." Read the entire article HERE.

At the Washington Examiner they have an article titled: “House Democrats looking at 'Slaughter Solution' to pass Obamacare without a vote on Senate bill UPDATED!” In the article, the Washington Examiner asks the question: “Would House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her fellow House Democratic leaders try to cram the Senate version of Obamacare through the House without actually having a recorded vote on the bill?

Now, all of this happened a couple of days ago. But, I have to ask; just how low will the democrats stoop in order to ram this Socialized Medicine bill down the throats of the American people.

Now do you believe us? Now do you believe what we have been declaring for so long now? I mean, of course, our warnings that the Healthcare bill, ObamaCare, if you will, is NOT ABOUT HEALTHCARE? IT IS ALL ABOUT POWER! Yes! It is all about power for the Democrats, the Progressives, the Socialists, the Marxists, and the Communists that infest the White House and the Congress in America these days.

If America is to remain free, well, at least retain the few freedoms we haven’t already given away to a grasping federal government, we must, absolutely MUST, defeat the ObamaCare bill now floundering in the US House of Representatives.

My Congressman, Mike McIntyre, a democrat representing my US House District in North Carolina is sanding fast! He has consistently voted “no” on these outrageous healthcare bills. He is quoted into today’s Fayetteville Times as STILL standing pat with a great big “NO” vote. Larry Kissell, over in the neighboring US House district of North Carolina, has also flatly stated that he will vote “NO” on the ObamaCare Bill -- and North Carolina Senator Richard Burr stated he, too, will continue to vote “NO” on ObamaCare in the Senate.

As you can see by the Slaughter Solution, the cabal of democrats, Socialists, Progressives, Marxists, and Communists is bound and determined to grasp America by the throat and squeeze the freedom and liberties granted by the US Constitution to death. I mean, after all, they view the Constitution as an outdated list of suggestions that have outlived their usefulness and are, if anything, a roadblock, an impediment to their acquisition of absolute power over the people of America.

I read today a commentator who opined that republicans are telling Americans to be afraid. I have to tell you. If you are not afraid, in America today, then something is very wrong with you!

Americans ARE afraid – and they are angry! Need I remind the Socialists, Marxists, the Communists and the Progressives, there is nothing on the face of God’s green earth as dangerous as a P.O.ed American!

Even if we manage to kill ObamaCare aborning, the backlash has already begun. P.O.ed Americans are going to the polls this coming November on a mission. A mission to rid the halls of Congress of as many Socialists, Marxists, Progressives, Communists, AND DEMOCRATS as they possibly can.

We are fighting for our liberty these days. Most Americans, although slow to understand what was really happening with the Obama Regime’s assault on the constitution, have finally gotten hold to the truth and have awakened to the “clear and present danger” Obama and his minions present for freedom and liberty in America.

When Americans came to realize Obama had surrounded himself with Communists, Marxists, Progressives, and Socialists in the White House --, they were shaken to their core! Now, however, they are angry and they have vowed to take back their country.

We have a long and difficult summer ahead of us. The Democrats understand that the gig is up. They understand they have been caught red-handed and they also understand that their days are numbered in positions of power in the Congress and in the White House. So, between today, and Election Day in November, they will be trying every trick in the book to move their agenda forward. We, the conservative opposition, must be equally as cunning and as tireless in our efforts to block them at every turn, to hem them in, to box them in, and neutralize them until they can be voted out of office and our constitution and our country rendered safe once again.

In the meantime, we must not let up, one little bit, with our opposition to the socialized medicine bill referred to as ObamaCare. We absolutely must defeat it. The we must turn our attention to the “New Amnesty Bill” called The Comprehensive Immigration Bill, the intent of which is to provide a “pathway to citizenship” for those illegal aliens already in our country after having broken our laws and entered as a thief in the night, or burglars enter our homes. And then -- there is Cap and Trade -- a massive, massive, tax on energy for every American, man, woman, and child. Of course, there will be much, much, more.

America was sold a “bill of goods!” by the Obama Campaign. North Carolina bought that “bill of goods.” Today it is paying the price. North Carolina has the highest unemployment since the great depression at over eleven percent. Our sister state, South Carolina is in much the same condition. Both states have at least one “Progressive” senator. In South Carolina it is Lindsey Graham and in North Carolina is in Kay Hagen. Both must be called home and relieved of duty in the Senate as soon as possible. Barring that -- they must be made aware of the feelings of their constituents toward their behavior in lending “aid and comfort” to the Obama Regime and our “rogue” Congress. They must be brought in line and kept in line by public pressure until they can be relived at the ballot box.

Freedom isn’t free. One of the costs is “eternal vigilance.” We can never, not for one minute, take our eyes off the Congress and the White House.

If, as I suspect, our national economy goes from bad to worse, over the coming months, the struggle for complete and absolute power by the government over the people will heat up. We must resist. Somehow, someway we must not allow this great experiment, called America, to be
strangled by an All Powerful Central Government.

The former poet laureate of South Carolina, author James Dickey once defined a “Southern Gentleman” as “a man with a Bible in one hand and a cannonball in the other.” Well, as I like to think of myself as a Southern Gentleman, I have just served up my cannon ball, now -- I will offer my Bible. From the scriptures we glean this bit of everlasting wisdom:

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” – 2 Chronicles 7:14.

The Obama Regime has tapped Senators Charles Shumer D-NY and Lindsey Graham R-SC to create a Comprehensive Immigration Bill. The bill was supposed to have been introduced and passed into law during Obama’s first year in office. But a little thing called “ObamaCare” and “ObamaCare 2.0” got in the way. Not to mention, a recession and, lest we forget -- the near total collapse of the American economic system. So, immigration was pushed back aways.

Well, this week, the President will be meeting with Shumer and Graham for a progress report on the immigration bill they have been working on.

I think we all are aware of what “revised” means to the Obama Regime. Think ObamaCare and ObamaCare 2.0. The latter was supposed to be the revised bill. It was, in fact, the original bill with a couple, or three, Republican suggestions thrown in to make it more palatable to the G OP and the American people. But, as nobody has actually seen a hard copy of the bill, doubt remains that ObamaCare 2.0 even exists.

Now we are to be presented with a “revised” version of The Amnesty Bill dating all the way back to the Bush Administration. Oh, it will be called something other than “The Amnesty Bill.” In fact, they are already referring to it as “The Comprehensive Immigration Bill.” But you and I know it is the same bill, the one we referred to as The Amnesty Bill.

Once again we will be called upon to rally and throw as many roadblocks as we can into the path of The NEW Amnesty Bill before the Obama forces can push the monstrosity through the Congress.

Many months ago Obama answered a reporter’s question concerning so-called “immigration reform” which, translated, means: “Amnesty” for illegal aliens hiding in the US today. Here’s what the President said: “Now, am I going to be able to snap my fingers and get this done? No,” said Obama. “This is going to be difficult; it's going to require bipartisan cooperation. There are going to be demagogues out there who try to suggest that any form of pathway for legalization for those who are already in the United States is unacceptable. And those are fights that I'd have to have if my poll numbers are at 70 or if my poll numbers are at 40. That's just the nature of the U.S. immigration debate. But ultimately, I think the American people want fairness," Obama continued. “And we can create a system in which you have strong border security, we have an orderly process for people to come in, but we're also giving an opportunity for those who are already in the United States to be able to achieve a pathway to citizenship so that they don't have to live in the shadows, and their children and their grandchildren can have a full participation in the United States. So I'm confident we can get it done.” That, dear reader, is the President of the US speaking.

I shouldn’t have to ask this question, but it seems I must. Have you stopped to consider how many millions more will pile onto “the dole” US taxpayers will have to support if this NEW amnesty bill passes? 12 million is a drop in the bucket to the REAL figure, which you are NOT going to hear bandied about by this administration, nor the democrat/progressive/socialists in the Congress.

Just as we believe the REAL unemployment figure is closer to 20% than it is to the 9.7% being reported by the government, and the number of jobs lost last month, we believe, is closer to 50,000 than it is to the 36,000 the government reported, we believe the real figure representing illegal aliens in America today is closer to 36 million than to the 12 million, or so, the government has been reporting.

Obama and the democrats/progressives/socialists must REALLY think the average American is an idiot! Why, they are so disconnected from the reality in America today that they have no idea the odor they get a whiff of every now and again is the tar and feathers being prepared in their honor!

A few of the Congressmen and Senators attending some of the town hall meetings have felt the heat. But not enough - not nearly enough, to put the fear of God into them! A few of our nation’s legislators have seen the handwriting on the wall and have already headed for the exits. They are not waiting for the political blood bath that awaits the Democratic Party this coming November AND the Republican Party, as well, if they do not shape up and listen to what their constituents are asking -- no -- demanding they do on ObamaCare AND on The New Amnesty Bill.

Senator Lindsey Graham, of South Carolina, is in very hot water at home and his chances of surviving a challenge in November are certainly not assured. Graham has buddied around with Senator John McCain far too often and the folks at home are not happy about it – at all! He will be in even hotter water if he even hints at amnesty in the so-called Comprehensive Immigration Bill he and Senator Charles Shumer, of New York, are currently formulating.

It is incredible that Washington seems unable to sense the anger of the average US citizen toward relaxation of the immigration laws, especially toward the Hispanics who are flooding our country and straining our healthcare services, our educational services, and our welfare services to the breaking point? How can Congress and the President not know this? How?

Common sense dictates that they MUST know this. So, why the continued refusal to secure our southern border? Why not return those illegal aliens to Mexico or their country of origin? Instead, the US government is pushing for a law to make those who are already here illegally… legal? You have to wonder if they are nuts!

No, they are not nuts. As we have learned, they just don’t care what you and I think, or want, or NOT want, as the case may be. We don’t count with the current government. They are far smarter than we. They know far better than we what is good for us.

There is very little fear of our dissenting votes in Washington, anymore.

The progressive/socialists have managed to secure the votes of the less literate among us in such large numbers as to override our dissenting votes. We warned, months ago, that the progressive/socialists had dispatched armies of “helpers/organizers” into the field to register “new” voters from among those whose livelihood depends on the government check they receive the first of each month. And it worked in 2008.

Finally, consider this: When you add to those legions the millions of illegal aliens who will be voting for the progressive/socialists -- as soon as the Obama Regime pronounces them “legal,” – one can readily see that you and I will be overruled at the ballot box in perpetuity.

If The New Amnesty Bill is passed we will truly lose what little bit of America we currently have left… forever.

Like Dracula, ObamaCare seems to crawl away when the light of day threatens only to climb out of its coffin at moonrise.

To paraphrase the famous line from the movie “Jaws”: “Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water…” We can say: “Just when you thought it was safe to breath free…” ObamaCare twitches.

It looks dead. But is it? Poke it with a stick and see if it moves. Hold a mirror beneath its nostrils and watch for condensation. If this were the TV series “CIS” or “NCIS” we’d punch a spike thermometer through its abdomen, and into the liver, to determine time of death – if any.

Sadly, I have to report, that ObamaCare is NOT dead. Weakened, yes. Nigh unto death? Yes. Dead? NO.

I am still convinced the democrats will get some form of ObamaCare thru both house of the Congress and on the President’s desk before Spring -- probably a lot sooner, actually.

The house has some serious problems with the bill as written. Speaker Pelosi KNOWS she cannot get it through the House in its current configuration, so she is hoping the Senate will configure a bill the House dems can agree so she can get it passed on her side of the building. Then on to the President for his signature and -- Walla! ObamaCare is the “Law of the Land.”

I have no clue as to how, exactly, they will accomplish this feat, but, I am satisfied that they will. Now is not the time to be complacent. We must keep up the fight against ObamaCare.

Even more importantly, the Republicans ought to crying loudly and clearly that should ObamaCare pass into law, the battle cry for the campaigns between now and the Mid-term Election, this November, and beyond, will be “REPEAL OBAMACARE!”

Democrats need to understand this is no threat. It is a promise. They need to understand they vote for ObamaCare at the expense of their political careers.

Few things have inflamed the American anger quite like ObamaCare and the Democrats insistence on ramming it down the throats of Americans. Yet the far left understands that this is their best chance to grab all the power that government control of the nation’s healthcare will gain them. They are willing to go for broke even if it means losing their hold on the Congress -- as they surely will. It doesn’t matter. They are the “true believers” and they are in charge.

No, dear reader, Obamacare is NOT dead -- not by a long shot.

ObamaCare is, after all is said and done, not about healthcare. It is all about power. If ObamaCare passes into law, the socialists will maintain their power over your life, and the life of every American, even when they are out of power in the Congress!

Some Republicans get it. Senator Lamar Alexander, of Tennessee, said over the weekend: “"People are saying, 'We don't want it.' The Democrats are saying, 'We don't care, we're doing it anyway.' The Democrats will try to jam this through, and the rest of the year we're going to be involved in a campaign to repeal it."

At this moment, however, we need to expend our energy on killing ObamaCare. If that fails the republicans should switch immediately to a campaign to repeal it.

Be aware, however, the dems do not believe the republicans have the intestinal fortitude to mount a campaign to repeal ObamaCare. In fact, they are counting on it. It helps them justify the political massacre of their party at the polls this coming November.

Have you noticed that the US has a Congress with a death wish? Oh, yes! We have a Congress made up of socialist and communists who are set on suicide.

You may ask, “How can you say such a thing, Longstreet?”

Well, actually, it is stating the obvious -- obvious to everyone, it seems, but the “so-called democrats” in the White House and the Congress.

ObamaCare is a death sentence to the democratic majority in the Congress and will certainly relegate Obama, himself, to the long list of one term democratic presidents. To pass the bill is suicide for the democrats and they are hell bent on doing just that! Their work continues in the shadows of locked rooms as they devise alternate plans to get that bill to the President's desk for his signature.

A TV evangelist has recently been credited with having said the Haitians had made a pact with the devil, a couple of centuries ago, and that led to the earthquake. Following that logic -- I have to tell you, it surely appears the current Congress of the US has made a pact with an evil force of some kind! They appear to be under some sort of “spell.” They are racing toward oblivion and nothing we can say will deter them. They are totally heedless of the warnings. It really does appear they are automatons marching to their demise.

The American people do not want ObamaCare. According to the Rasmussen poll 58% of Americans do not want ObamaCare! We have said it over and over. We do not want Cap and Trade! We have told them time and time again that we don’t want it. We do not want Amnesty for illegal aliens. We have instructed the Congress to forget Amnesty and to close and seal the borders of the US and allow no one in save for those legally seeking to enter the country.

They are not listening to us and they are unresponsive to our wishes. Therefore, they must go -- and go they will this coming November. Why do you think so many of them are already announcing their retirement? They are the smart ones. They want to leave and save what little face they have left.

Look, as much as I hate to even think it, the truth is the United States is now ruled by an oligarchy. An oligarchy is the rule of many by a few. In other words, we have a country, at the moment, which is no longer ruled by “the people,” as the Founding Fathers intended, but ruled by a handful of elite politicians -- and Obama’s Czars -- and intellectuals educated beyond their abilities.

We have referred to it as a “rogue government.” However, now that Scott Brown, a conservative republican, has won the special election in Massachusetts, the socialists in Congress will be frantically trying to stir back toward the political center. Their chief problem will be the indisputable fact that they have been exposed for what they are and any actions they attempt at creating the appearance of becoming centrist will be suspect, at the very least, by the electorate.

Their facade has cracked and is crumbling around them.

We told you many months ago that this socialist led Congress would overreach. They did. Now they must pay the consequences. The Speaker of the House of Representatives has said Americans will have ObamaCare “one way or the other!” She didn’t even blink when she said it! I don’t know about you, but I read that as a clear confirmation that the Congress simply does not care what the American citizens want or don’t want. We will get what THEY decide we are going to get… PERIOD! Now, if that isn’t the act of a rogue government, I don’t know what is.

It is now clear, however, Ms. Pelosi underestimated the near rage of the American people over the absolute arrogance of such a statement, and I suspect it contributed to Scott Brown's victory in Massachusetts, and a turning point in the direction the Congress and the Obama Regime had planned for the next three years. Her admission that she did not have the votes in the US House to pass the Senate version of ObamaCare was evidence that the current socialist government of the United States had just taken a severe blow to their collective solar plexus and were reeling back on their heels.

They have been acting as though they are some sort of fringe religious cult. It is common knowledge many democrats in the House and Senate are, indisputably, going to lose their seats in Congress if they continue their socialist plans and policies. Yet many say the loss in Massachusetts resulted from their not being Progressive enough! It is as though they have lined up to drink the poisoned Kool-Aid and die a political death, sacrificing their political lives for a Progressive/Socialist idea that REAL Americans WILL REPEAL at the very first opportunity.

So, what to do?

Throw the bums out!

We will have that opportunity this coming November in the Mid-Term Election. Americans must flood the polls on that Tuesday to save The Republic. For make no mistake about it — The Republic is in peril. Our Rogue Congress is, in my opinion, “a clear and present danger” to the Republic and it is the duty of American citizens to make every effort to save their country by voting the Socialists, Communists, Statists, and Progressives out of office in November.

It is a necessary first step in reclaiming our country -- AND our birthright as free Americans.

I have had some reaction to the piece I wrote on Sarah Palin recently -- some good -- some not good. The one thing all comments had, however, was passion. Either the commenter hated her with a passion, or the commenter loved her with a passion. There does not seem to be any middle ground when it comes to Sarah Palin. I am STILL asking why? She has become a polarizing figure.

OK, so maybe I am just thick-headed. Heck, I'll even admit to that. But for the life of me, I cannot see how Ms. Palin, of whom, I had barely heard a word prior to the announcement of her candidacy as McCain's running mate, could come out of the frozen north, still thought of by some as America's frontier, and create so much controversy. THAT was one thing. But AFTER the election, after everyone had gone home, after the party was over, after the lights had been turned out, the bad press just never seemed to stop, or even lessen. Her family problems are the very same problems American families all over the country deal with every day. I am convinced the left made a serious error in judgement by making an issue of the Palin family problems. It created sympathy for the Palins and disgust in conservatives for what was perceived as unwarranted intrusion, by the media, into a family's private affairs.

As far as Alaska politics are concerned... I am a Carolina boy. We know a little something about bare knuckles politics here in Dixie. Take a look at the trouble our former NC governor is facing currently. Then swing your gaze southward to our sister state and the trouble the SC governor is in currently. It gets down and dirty in the Carolinas when politics are involved. So, the political machinations of Alaska's politics, and politicians, made little, if any, impression on me.

As I said in an earlier piece, it DID trouble me that she quit, but, since I have no investment in what Ms. Palin does, or does not do now, or in the future, I did not give it a second thought. It is politics. I moved on.

It seems to me that a neutral observer of the late presidential campaign would have to agree that the "negative" press coverage of Ms. Palin was a bit of "overkill." As a card carrying member of the press for many years, I saw very little subtlety in the way the MSM went after Ms. Palin. It appeared to me to be very nearly a quest to defame her in any way they could so as to render her a neutral threat to their man, Obama, for whom, they were, and are, deeply in the tank.

In the end, it did not seem to matter, one way or the other, for the GOP ticket was doomed from the beginning, long before the voters had heard of Sarah Palin as the Vice-Presidential candidate on John McCain's ticket. For at least two years this old southern boy had been declaring that Senator McCain would never be President of the United States. I am not clairvoyant, I have no crystal ball, and I assure you I am no prophet. What I DO have is knowledge of my fellow southern conservatives.

You see, the day McCain "dissed" the Confederate Battle Flag, any chance he had to garner the bulk of the southern conservative vote was ended. As he had done that just a few years prior to the 2008 campaign, the time he spent campaigning in the south during the 2008 campaign was wasted effort. His status as a "RINO" pretty much slammed the door on any chance he MAY have had.

But THIS is what peaked my interest in Palin. After the election and the Obama win, the Mainstream Media continued their campaign to "Get Palin!" Many southern conservatives, and other conservatives across the land, did not like what they were seeing. (Allow me to add that not ALL conservatives saw it that way. There are a number of conservatives, southern conservatives among them who feel Ms Palin is a phony, to put it bluntly.) It was interpreted by many as an obvious campaign to destroy any credibility Ms. Palin had or might have as a candidate for ANYTHING in the future. Conservatives saw it as sure sign of fear from the left. They quickly became convinced that nothing else could, nor can, account for the zeal of the left in attacking and going after Ms. Palin. What are they afraid of?

The school of thought on that particular question that I tend to lean toward is this: When the political left saw the attraction of conservatives to Ms. Palin, the same conservatives who were supposed to stay home on election day, they panicked. They had to DO something. And they did.

They attacked.

The unrelenting attack on Palin by the left is what has stirred my interest. Had they backed off after the election and stirred clear of Ms. Palin, she would not be nearly as popular today as she is. At least that is my opinion. The cacophony of anti-Palin drum beating, by the left, has drawn the attention of many, many, conservatives who ordinarily would have moved on until the next election campaign or cycle. But the left has kept the attention of conservatives on Palin and drawn many more to the Palin camp as sympathizers.

Now the Republican Party has climbed aboard the "Get Palin" train. Why? The GOP is scared witless that Palin will be the first presidential candidate of the Tea Party in America. If that should happen, she will split the republican electorate, take a slew of votes away from the GOP candidate, and, most likely, insure another victory for the Democrats. However, Palin's possible Tea Party candidacy would suddenly boost the power of those members of the GOP electorate who subscribe to the Tea Party's conservative philosophy. They most certainly would be invited to sit at the table with the high "muckity-mucks" of the GOP and actually have a say in what the GOP does. But, we warn fellow conservatives. This is a power play that will have a high cost. I am convinced it will cost the GOP, and the Tea Party, the White House in 2012.

If the GOP is serious about retaking the Congress and the White House they had better bite the bullet and work with Palin (as bitter a pill as that might be to swallow) and the Tea Party -- not against them. The tide amongst conservative and Independent voters is toward a conservative replacement for the current occupant of the White House and as many current occupants of the House and Senate as possible.

If the GOP goes to war with Palin, the GOP WILL lose... in more ways than one. They will most certainly lose in the Mid-Term elections, this November, and they will absolutely lose their bid for the White House in 2012 -- and they will lose a huge chunk of their electorate who will move over, officially, to the Tea Party. Going after Palin is not an option to be considered by the GOP as tempting as it may seem.

Palin may be a "penny match phenomenon." She may flare up suddenly, producing lots of heat and light, then die down slowly, and eventually go out. I have no way of knowing and I don't want to guess.

Now, here's the thing: If, in the future, Ms. Palin should become a Congressperson, a Senator, Vice-President, or even President, the political left in America will have only to look in a mirror to discover on whom to place the responsibility for her success. At least, that is my opinion.

Have you taken a second look at Sarah Palin lately?

Maybe we conservatives should. Hey! I'm JUST SAYING......!

I must tell you that anytime a conservative, candidate or not, strikes fear in the hearts of the Socialists, Marxists, Communists, and Progressives in the Congress, the White House, and the leftist Mainstream Media in America, we conservatives are selling ourselves short -- if we do not sit up and take notice and, at least, try to determine what, about this particular conservative, is driving "those people" mad.

Of course, like so many other conservatives it bothers me , greatly, that she quit the office of governor of the state of Alaska. I cannot, so far, put the feeling that she is a "quitter" to rest. Why did she do it? I wish I knew the real answer to that question. Maybe someday we will. Someday, should the occasion arise for a face to face with Ms. Palin, I intend to ask just that question. Whether it will make a difference, or not, I cannot say. Her answer to that question , I would think, will make, or break, any future national political ambitions she may have.

In the meantime, though, she is selling books like hot cakes and making appearances across the country and drawing record breaking crowds in some cities and towns.

Representatives of the mainstream media are tagging along like bloodhounds sniffing for any mistake, or misstep, or misspoken word that offers even a meager opportunity for them to discredit her further.

Battalions of reporters and investigators are pouring over her book looking for errors or, well, anything that could be construed as less than truthful in their never ending campaign to belittle her, and diminish her standing among conservative and independent voters in America.

Now, here is what is troubling me. I had written Ms. Palin off as another "also ran". A "has been," a failed "wannabe politician" on the national stage. Now, as a result of the left wing's oh, so obvious fear of this little woman, I am forced to take a second look and reevaluate my most recent negative feelings toward her as a possible candidate for something, or other, either in 2010 or 2012.

See, any conservative who can throw the "Fear of God" into the socialist/progressives/communists/democrats in our Congress and the White House compels me to sit up an utter the words: "What the H**l??? And THAT, dear reader, is what Ms. Palin has done.

There is a reason the socialist leaders of America run screaming from the room at the mere mention of Sarah Palin's name. I mean -- she is bright, eloquent, obviously has a "presence" in any room she enters, and to top off the package, she is strikingly beautiful. And she is resilient. She has managed to fend off all the arrows fired at her by the left-leaning media and the left's hit men and hit women and remain poised, with that striking smile, and her continuous profession of faith in a God who will never forsake her in good times or in bad.

So, she can be "folksy." That is NOT A BAD THING IN MY REGION OF THE USA -- the South. Plus, her "folksy" manner of speech is obviously NOT FAKE. That will go a long way toward establishing the honesty factor in her favor.

Having said all the above, Yes, I am taking a second look at Sarah Palin. If for no other reason than because the mainstream media, which is so biased toward the political left, is expressing such overt fear of her.

When the Left fears the Right, conservatives are doing SOMETHING RIGHT! Is that "RIGHT THING" conservatives are obviously doing... Sarah Palin? I DON'T KNOW! But, you can bet -- I am going to try to find out!

It makes no difference what you do or what you say, these days, you can bet that someone will be offended.

Oh, yeah, I know people were offended back in the day. Truly they were, but there was one major difference. Back in the day, we understood that for an offended person to protest was a sign of weakness on the offended’s part. And frankly, they were too embarrassed to protest because they knew society would see them for what they were, weak.

Things changed. In the mid to late 20th century, and early 21st century, American society began to celebrate weakness in individuals. Whole organizations sprang up to serve the chronically offended. (And while they were doing that…. milk them of all their ready cash, as well!)

How could this have happened? Political Correctness, that’s how. Marxism by another name. As of today in America, the weak, and the minorities, have more power than the strong majority. The tables have turned. Natural law has been turned on its head.

When I was growing up one of the signs that you were, indeed, growing into adulthood was the skill at which you were able to handle disappointment… and… being offended.

Stoicism is no easy thing for me. I am Scot-Irish, Dutch, German, and a healthy dose of Native American. So you can see the how the fiery temperament of the Irish, and the combativeness of the Scots, and the dogged determination of the Germans, and stoicism of the Native Americans was, and is, always at war in my mind.

However, after a few bloody noses and split lips, and broken teeth, I managed to get a grip on myself and I learned a valuable lesson. It is better to keep your mouth shut and not whine when you are offended! The main thing to remember is… do not whine! Strike, if you must, but do not whine! What I forgot was… my size disadvantage. Quite often the attacked was physically larger than me and I got the tar beaten out of me!

So what did I learn for these confrontations? Not a whole lot… if you ask those who know me personally. I STILL tend to attack windmills! I love lost causes. But, it did build character. It gave me understanding into the mind of the chronically offended.

I have learned that the chronically offended are sad, lonely, people. They perceive themselves as without power and influence and they crave recognition, by anybody, for any reason. It is a form of inferiority complex.

To get that recognition, if only to force someone, anyone, into confirming their existence, they will cause a commotion about the smallest of things they may deem an infraction, or an abuse, or an offense to their sensibilities. No matter that society might accept that which offends them, that fact has no value to the Chronically Offended. Their self-centered nature rules out any pleas for common sense from the un-offended. .

And now THEY are in charge! Well, maybe not directly… with hands-on control… but they certainly have the power to browbeat the remainder of society like water torture.

If man had not fiddled with Mother Nature’s natural selection, these people would not be among us. But we did, and they are here. And… they are a royal pain in the butt to all of society.

Political Correctness has empowered them. And now WE are powerless to dis-empower THEM!

Obama Hood and his Merry Band, up on the Hill in DC, are doing their best to emulate the tale of Robin Hood by robbing the rich and giving it to the, well, who the heck ARE they giving it too? Beats me!

Look, I make no secret of the fact that I rather like rich folks. As a matter of fact, I’d really like to join their ranks, but, alas, time is running out for wealth acquisition for this old scribe and even if I made it suddenly, I‘d be hard pressed to spend it all before I go. You see, I DO understand that I cannot take it with me and since I have no say in whether I go, or not, I have concluded that I must be content with my station in life for the last few years.

Rich folks pay too darn much in taxes! There, I’ve said it. It needs saying because it is the truth. The following is from an article by Ed Feulner entitled: “Tax the Wealthy Even More? That’s Rich”. Mr. Feulner said the following: “Economist Curtis Dubay of The Heritage Foundation ran the numbers earlier this year. He found that in 2006, the top 20 percent of earners made 55.7 percent of all pre-tax income, up slightly from 54.8 percent in the year 2000. Yet at the same time, their share of federal income taxes increased from 81.2 percent to 86.3 percent. And the further up the income ladder one goes, the greater percentage of the total tax burden one shoulders. According to the IRS, in 2007 the top 1 percent of taxpayers paid more than 40 percent of all federal income taxes. That’s more than the bottom 95 percent combined paid.” We recommend you read the entire article. You’ll find it HERE.

The US cannot continue to wring every cent it can get from the rich. Why? Because the rich are going to leave, that’s why. We are all familiar with stories of wealthy families moving about within the United States from high tax states to lower taxing states. The same applies to the globe. If we are not extremely careful there is going to be a flood of rich folks leaving these shores and taking their wealth with them to other countries that, frankly, treat them, and their money, much better that the US government does.

The US is already broke. If the private wealth pulls out, we will be in a much worse economic state than we are today. Never forget that.

The wealthy provide the jobs, REMEMBER? Did you ever hear of a poor family opening a factory and hiring hundreds to work for that factory at decent wages? I dare say you have not. The government may boast of creating jobs, but it is all hot air. The private sector creates jobs and that portion of the private sector creating those jobs is the wealthy among us

Of course, we now have a socialist government in the US and the redistribution of the wealth is the hallmark of such a government. That simply means they take the wealth from those who have it and spread it around to those who don’t until everybody suffers equally.

One Apology Too Many

Congressman Joe Wilson of South Carolina should never have apologized the first time.

As a resident of North Carolina for nearly fifty years, and a native of South Carolina, I qualify as a “Carolina Boy.” I am as much at home in one Carolina as the other. Thus, you have my "bona fides."

If you paid attention in history class, you may have noticed that we “Sandlappers,” of South Carolina, are famous, or infamous, depending upon your viewpoint, for our hot tempers. It doesn’t take a great deal to set us off and then we tend to burn hot for rather a long time. The last time the men of South Carolina lost their collective tempers it took four years and a lot of blood, sweat, and gunpowder to quench it.

Nobody is completely sure of the source of all that passion. But never doubt it, we are a passionate people. We may speak a little slower than you folks in the cooler climes but we think and act just as fast. Our slow speech can be a little off-putting and disarming and we often use it to charm our way to a sought after goal. It has been said that if America had a natural warrior class it would be the southern male. South Carolina is justifiably proud of her son’s performance in all the wars America has seen fit to involve herself in whether within her borders or without.

When secession became imminent, back in 1861, South Carolina was the first state to vote for secession – and -- South Carolina was the only Confederate state to vote unanimously for secession. You see, in South Carolina, it is 100% -- or nothing. We don’t do anything half way.

I tell you this so you will not be surprised when Joe Wilson, the Congressman from South Carolina who called the President a liar, in public, does not apologize again. Many of us think his one and only apology was one too many.

I, for one, believe Congressman Wilson was correct. Why? Well, it seems that some of the folks over at the White House admitted, late last week, that ObamaCare would, in fact, need a verification system of some kind to keep illegal aliens from receiving free healthcare under ObamaCare. Now, here’s the problem. It seems that every time a verification system comes up in the discussions -- the democrats oppose it – effectively killing it. Last we heard, no verification system had been agreed upon. So, as it stands, illegal aliens WILL receive free healthcare under the current plans for ObamaCare! Of course, that is subject to change. Yeah. Right!

In an article titled: “Tea Party Crowd Stands Behind Republican Rep. Joe Wilson” CNSNEWS.COM reports the following: “The House bill -- in Title II, Subtitle C, Section 246 – states that there will be “no federal payment for undocumented aliens.” However, the legislation provides no mechanism for verifying the legal status of beneficiaries, making it difficult for insurers and medical personal to know who legally qualifies for federal subsidies under the plan.” You can read the entire article HERE.

Well, there IS another way to “fix” the problem and that is for Obama to kick his “amnesty for illegal aliens plan” through Congress and -- Walla! No illegals aliens, and -- they get free healthcare, too!

So – what is there for Congressman Wilson to apologize for -- the truth? Wilson told reporters: “"I've apologized one time. The apology was accepted by the president, by the vice president, who I know. I am not apologizing again."

Sen. James DeMint (R-S.C.) is reported to have said: “Joe apologized for saying what he did in that setting, but he proved to be right,”

Of course, the Democrats are having their usual conniption fits. They vowed to propose a resolution of disapproval this week if Wilson did not publicly apologize to Congress. Earlier this week the US House formerly rebuked Congressman Wilson. If a “rebuke” by THIS Congress were not so ridiculous it would be funny! If anything, Congress ought to be apologizing to the American people! Many of us REBUKE THEM daily!

As we have learned over the decades one can always count on the Democrats to play the “race” card at every opportunity. This incident presented a terrific opportunity for them to do so. They trotted out former President Jimmy Carter who promptly tossed the race card into the mix by reportedly saying: “I think it's based on racism. There is an inherent feeling among many in this country that an African-American should not be president." Carter, apparently upset at recent demonstrators who had compared Obama to Nazi leaders, is reported to have said: “Those kind of things are not just casual outcomes of a sincere debate on whether we should have a national program on health care." Carter went on to say: "It's deeper than that."

Just so we are clear here, if Jimmy Carter was still in the White House and was proposing the same healthcare program as Obama, I, as a conservative southerner, would be opposing him every bit as much as I oppose Obama! Further, if his actions and proposals resembled those of the Nazis, as a part of the loyal opposition, I would be derelict in my duty if I DID NOT point that out to the American people!

It certainly appears the democrats are extremely delicate. They suffer from a malady known as “thin skin.” It is manifest by the easily observable fact that they can dish it out – but they can’t take it!

Mr. Carter referred to “a sincere debate” over Obamacare. Mr. Carter KNOWS the last thing Obama and the democrats want is a REAL debate. The fact is, and they are fully aware of it, they cannot win by debating their proposals on ObamaCare! A debate will only allow the American public to learn more about ObamaCare. We already know the more Americans learn of the power grabbing, socialist, program called ObamaCare the less they like it.

According to a Rasmussen Reports article -- "... one week after President Obama’s speech to Congress, opposition to his health care reform plan has reached a new high of 55%. The latest Rasmussen Reports daily tracking poll shows that just 42% now support the plan, matching the low first reached in August.

Seventy-four percent (74%) of Democrats now support the plan while 80% of Republicans are opposed. Among those not affiliated with either major party, 67% are opposed." You can read the entire report HERE.

Many, many, questions about the constitutionality of ObamaCare are waiting for the Supreme Court to answer. When one compares ObamaCare to the Bill of Rights, one can readily see that a number of amendments are in jeopardy.

We southerners were expecting this kind of reaction if Obama was elected President. More than once, long before the election, I heard southerners lamenting the expectation that if they opposed a “President” Obama they would be derided as “racists.” You see, we KNEW it was coming. As a southerner, I do not hesitate to tell you that choosing between Wilson and Carter is not a difficult task. While Carter is an embarrassment to me as a southerner, I am proud to support fellow southerner Congressman Joe Wilson.

Now, I admitted that I am a Carolina Boy at the beginning of this piece and proudly so. As a result, I am sure that it comes as no surprise to you that I would defend Congressman Joe Wilson. At the same time, it should not surprise you that what troubles me about the entire incident is not Congressman Wilson’s conduct, but the less than honest conduct of the President of the United States.

Back in “the day” there was an expression that went something like this: “When you can fake sincerity, then you’ve really got it made!”

I think of this expression, and the absolute truth it represents, every time I hear that Obama is making, or is about to make, a speech. Well – truth be told -- I have NEVER heard Obama make a speech. No lie. The man hasn’t a thing to say that I want to hear -- other than “I resign.”

I have to admit – he IS one of the all time great ones. I mean, it is really difficult to look another person in the eye and lie through your teeth, but Obama has mastered that skill. Combine that with faked sincerity and the gullible of America will stampede just to get in line to hear his lies. And do not DARE to call him a liar! Why that is pure blasphemy! In other words -- do not dare to speak the truth about all the glib promises he is making especially about socialized medicine in America.

When you step back and survey the way the country is divided over ObamaCare you quickly see the folks supporting Obama are the folks who want, oh so badly, to be made fools of. You can point out the truth to those people all day long, until you are blue in the face, and it will do no good. They have made up their minds. They will follow the empty suit in the Oval Office right off the cliff of the looming socialism. They resemble, for all the world, the followers of Jim Jones as they guzzle down Obama’s kool-aid.

Obama’s promises cannot be kept. It is IMPOSSIBLE. He cannot supply healthcare for everyone in America without raising your taxes and rationing healthcare at the same time. Even the government agencies charged with checking such things say it is impossible. Yet, the “true believers” kneel at Obama’s feet and worship as they chant, “Yes, we can! Yes, we can!”

Look, The US is B R O K E! We are W I T H O U T F U N D S! We are, temporarily, financially embarrassed. Call it what you will, the fact is -- we cannot afford ObamaCare. We cannot dredge up the money it will take to pay for it – PERIOD!

Try a little experiment. Next Friday and/or Saturday evening pay a visit to the Emergency Department of your local hospital. Look at the crowds waiting for medical help. Take note of who those people waiting are. They are being treated at no cost to them. You and I, the folks with insurance pay for them as the cost is spread out over my hospital bill and yours when we receive medical treatment at that facility.

The crowds at some Emergency Departments have been so large the hospitals have been forced to close that department down completely. They simply could not afford to stay open. The financial drain was too much for the hospital.

Now, just imagine the size of the crowds awaiting treatment under ObamaCare when there is no “apparent” cost to the recipient of those services. There is NO WAY the existing hospital staff will be able to handle those crowds. SOMEBODY is going to be turned away, or given a number and told to report back in a week, or a month, or six weeks, or even a year. THAT is called healthcare RATIONING! It is not just a possibility -- it is a certainty!

And another thing: Where are all the doctors and nurses coming from to man those ER departments and where are the funds coming from to build the new hospitals and clinics that absolutely will be required to handle the hugely increased demand for free healthcare? Where? Some reports say we can expect as many as 50 million new patients increasing the drain on our existing facilities and the few primary care doctors we now have. Considering the fact that we are already experiencing a shortage of those primary care doctors today, many, many, more primary care doctors are going to be needed almost overnight. Where are they coming from?

When considering thatnearly half of America favors ObamaCare, I must tell you that leads me to believe that we need some sort of National Mental Healthcare Program – and that’s for certain. Sane people don’t act this way. Sane people do not accept a continuing flow of lies from anyone without question.

"Something for nothing" is the most welcome promise of all and really good con men know that. They use it all the time. Obama is no different. He is making the same empty promise with his offer of free healthcare for all without costing the recipient anything. There it is: “Something for Nothing."

There is no doubt in my mind that before the year 2009 is ended the US will have some sort of Socialized Medicine. It is the price we will pay for electing the socialists of the Democratic Party to power. Already, in barely seven months, the democrats have raped, and sacked, and looted our country. They have bankrupted the treasury and caused every man woman and child, now alive in the US, to bear the burden of some $40,000.00 debt to the US government. And that is BEFORE they slap us with Socialized Medicine!

The plain truth is, dear reader, if America is to survive the damage done by the democrats we must begin at the ballot box in 2010. We must vote out every democrat seeking re-election and those seeking office for the first time must be turned away. The very survival of the USA depends upon it.
