Allow Japan to Take Care of North Korea!

What are we going to do with North Korea? I mean… they’re getting to be a pain in the backside!

Kimmy and his widdle “play toys” are aggravating us and all the countries around him… save for the Chinese. I am convinced the Chicoms are egging him on so they can collect data on the counter measures we use to take out his ancient missiles.

Remember… we had a troop draw down some months back in South Korea, so we don’t have the manpower on the ground in South Korea to present to large a profile of our military might to Kimmy.

There is also much thought that the South Koreans are not all that steady about remaining free should Kimmy’s minions come rolling across that border and snap our US military trip wire like a rusted banjo string. The city of Soul, South Korea is, some say, toast if, and when, Kimmy wants to smash it.

Now, lets go back a few years… a generation or two. If, indeed, the South Koreans have weakened in their resolve, then they bear little resemblance to their forbears who fought alongside American troops and gave an excellent account of themselves and their thirst for freedom.

We, in America, have been watching as the younger generations of South Koreans who have, really, no idea the hell their parents and grandparents went through when the North Koreans, and later the combination of North Koreans and Red Chinese flooded across the 38th parallel and attempted to enslave their portion of that peninsula. Like American youth, they have become soft and sated with the fruits of freedom. They are blissfully unaware of the price their forbears paid for that freedom.

Now, if the South Koreans do not value their freedom enough to stand up to the North Korean bully, then the US has no business putting the lives of American soldiers on the line for them.

Sure, we cannot and we will not leave Japan undefended. Well, actually, Japan is extremely capable of defending themselves. Their massive, extremely well equipped military is one of the best-kept secrets in the world. With a navy, which rivals our own… again…and is far larger that the navies of most of our other allies, plus their “Defense” troops, which are VERY well trained and equipped, they can handle North Korea all by themselves. But the US has to keep up appearances.

You see, Japan is hedging on a deal made when US Gen. Macarthur ran the place. They have little by little built their military up, over the years, and have, sub rosa, become a military power in their own right. But, the US is not supposed to notice and the remainder of the world is not supposed to know. In reality, most everyone DOES know, with the possible exception of… Kimmy in North Korea.

Japan is royally P.O’ed by The North Korans dropping spent missiles near their Islands. They have warned DPRK many times. Now, they want the UN to step in. Surely, the Japanese know that will have little, if any effect upon the actions of Kim and his band of fruits and nuts.

So, what’s the US to do should the Japanese decide to move against North Korea despite agreements and treaties they have, or may have, with the US? Well, we’d suggest that the US find something to do… elsewhere on the globe, far, far, away for the Korean peninsula.

As long as the DPRK problem is a “neighborhood problem”, why not allow the neighborhood watch to take care of it? Just warn the Chicoms to stay out of it and allow these ages old rivals to have at it and settle some long-standing disagreements.

Look, at some point, some country is going to have to put this pipsqueak out of his misery. Why not allow the proxy nation of the US to face off with the proxy nation of Red China? Allow the Japanese to try out their new fangled military hi-tech and force Kimmy to either put up or shut up! The rest of the world is tired of his whining AND his tantrums!

I understand your points, however I'm pro-UN and believe we should exhaust their resources first.

The problem with that is... the UN is impotent. We're just "going thru the motions" with the UN... just as we did with Iraq. Again, we're feeding the alligator in hopes that it will eat us last!

The idea of the United Nations seemed to be a good idea at the time, but like anything else, it has been corrupted and nullified by human nature. The UN is useless, and the resources have been exhausted. Talking has failed. The missiles must be dismantled, even if we need to go and do it ourselves.
